Damanchi (Hepburn: Danjon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Daro ka) is a light novel written by Fujino Omori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda. The first volume of Damanchi was published on January 15, 2013, and as of November 2023, 19 volumes have been released.
Later, on August 2, 2013, Manga’s first chapter was serialized in Young Gangan, whose illustration work is being handled by Kunida. Since the popularity of its manga grew, its anime was released on April 4, 2015, by J.C. Staff Studio.
It has been over thirteen years since its first volume was published. As of November 2023, it has over 19 volumes. So, it makes many fans wonder if the Damanchi Light Novel has ended or not.

The quick explanation of how gods came down to this world to live like normal people, because apparently, it’s boring being a god since they aren’t allowed to use their power except to give blessings, which allow people to fight with monsters.
If a guy gives you a blessing, then you become a part of their family and their servant. The main character of the story, Bell, is introduced while he gets chased by a Minotaur through a dungeon. As he gets cornered, Ais Wellenstein, his new love interest, saves him.
He leaves without talking to where he goes to see his advisor, Eina, to ask about his new crush. She tells him she’s parted the Loki family, currently level 5, and supposedly the best sort of person in the city.
Since Bell is in the Hestia family and only level 1 with no DM to slide into, it’s likely that they’re gonna end up together plenty ahead. Tommy’s greeted by his goddess Hestia.
Well, upgrading his stats, he realizes he has a new skill but hides it from him. It lets him level up faster. And the stronger his feelings are, the stronger the effects. The next day, he runs into a maid named Syr, who works at a tavern, and Gibson some food.
After his dungeon run, Bell grows rapidly because of how strong his feelings are for her. He returns to the tavern later that night and just so happens to see Ais walk in with her party, but they start talking about him and make fun of how he had to run from the Minotaur.
This makes Bell want to get stronger, so he leaves embarrassingly and heads to the dungeon to get more training. He goes back to the tavern the next day to pay his bill since he split into her than before.
Syr apparently vouched for him to help him get off easy shortly out of the kindness of her heart. We jump over to a party, all the guts are sore, and we are introduced to some new faces.
We have Freya, who has Thea but doesn’t seem to be a fan of Loki, who was the goddess device. The reason he is at the party is to ask Isis to help make a weapon for Bell since he is in desperate need of an upgrade. It takes a lot of begging, but eventually, Hestia comes around and helps make the weapon personally.
Is Damanchi Light Novel Finished?
Damanchi light novel hasn’t ended yet as of the second week of November 2023. Even though 19 volumes have been released so far, and after running since 2013, the story of Bell doesn’t seem to end so soon.
There were some rumors going around on the internet that the author has said Damamchi will end next year. However, let me tell you that all those rumors are false. The author of Damanchi made no such statement.
Since interviews happen in the Japanese language, fans changed the whole context of what the author actually said. As of now, the author doesn’t have any plans for ending the light novel, nor does he talk about when the story will end.
