I Thought It’s a Common Possession Chapter 50 will be released next week! The previous chapter ended on a rather satisfactory note as Edith finally confronted all the nasty rumors that were being spread about her and her relationship with the Rudwick brothers.
People were beginning to talk down on the Duke and Duchess, and also the intelligence of Killeon and Cliff for involving themselves with Edith who was an illegitimate child of the Sinclairs. Edith goes up to those spreading false rumors and quickly shuts them down from prying further.
Seeing her bravery, Killeon is both appalled and amused, and can’t react in any other way except laughing. The upcoming chapter of I Thought It’s a Common Possession will witness a further progression in Cliff and Edith’s story, and her journey with Killeon to Ryzen.
Recap
As Edith, the protagonist begins to think about the romance between Cliff and his fiance. She was on a date with Killeon to the seamstress perhaps not because they couldn’t call one over, but rather to further advance in the plot and witness the love that’s growing between them.
Edith wishes to spend more time with Killeon, and hopes that the suspicions she has regarding the two will come out to be false. She doesn’t want to follow the original plot as the villainess and die in the hands of either.
Snapping her back to reality, Killeon tells Edith she looks gorgeous in the dress and tries to add on a headpiece to finish the look. Edith is flustered and tells him that he too, should look for clothes of his own. She asked the seamstress to bring a matching pair to her dress, and they left the shop after buying.
Killeon thinks they made the decision too early and that Edith should’ve tried out more dresses, but she convinces him and says it’s perfect. She says he has a good eye for things, which makes Killeon blush and reply, saying people have often told him he has a knack for things like this.
Their next stop is a shoe store, where Killeon asks for two pairs of boots and shoes for their trip to Ryzen. Edith thinks it’s a bit too much, but is easily convinced when Killeon talks of the cold winters and horse riding. He asked the shop owner to bring an additional pair as he believed he was in need of more.
When getting her foot size measured, she noticed Killeon looking at her but would then avoid her eyes when she looked back. Realizing she noticed, Killeon tries to change the subject and tells Edith to look at more shoe designs.
After they’re done shopping, Killeon and Edith go to a cafe to drink tea and eat cake. Killeon noticed Edith liked strawberry tea, so he took her there, and she loved the place despite the fact that it was a bit too noisy for her.
While Killeon and Edith are enjoying their tea, they are interrupted by a group of older women near them discussing their relationship. They were gossiping about Edith and how she had wrapped both the Rudwick brothers in the palm of her hand.
They further began to question the decisions of the duke and his wife for allowing the “illegitimate child” to become the duchess. Hearing them speak, Edith goes over and mildly threatens them, warning them not to spread any further rumors like these.
The chapter ends with Killeon laughing at the whole event which has Edith confused as she had just come back from confronting a bunch of gossipers about their situation.
