The Hero’s Party consisted of the chosen hero, Kyle Thorben, the divine archer, Lemia, and Saint Sarah. There was another member of the team; the ashen wizard, Raniel Von Trias. I Quit The Hero’s Party is the story following the life of Raniel Von Trias.

Raniel Von Trias was considered and called the free ride in the team for being the heir of the gray magic tower. No one knew how much Raniel Von Trias contributed to the team just because he was always late to the scene. He did most of the backstage work which only the team was aware of.

Raniel Von Trias was so powerful that he could literally take down the opponents all by himself. He had magical powers. Though it was because of him that the team had a good name, he was never praised. People always took Raniel Von Trias for granted.

Things get worse when it is his own team members begin to get jealous of his powers and speak behind his back. With people not recognizing his talents and with his team members being arrogant and ignorant, Raniel Von Trias decides to quit the team, which is the Hero’s Party.

Previously on I Quit The Hero’s Party Chapter 15: Recap

We saw that Raniel Von Trias had promised to meet Chloe the next day in I Quit The Hero’s Party Chapter 15. Raniel Von Trias thought Chloe was out of her mind when she forced him to enter the mana spring but it was giving him benefits that he had not expected.

Raniel Von Trias could use less mana for more effects than ever before. The undead were roaming freely down here in the underground waterways, yet someone was taking a stroll without so much as hiding their presence. That means they are the ones who unleashed all these undead!

Raniel Von Trias then uses the shadow needle technique to attack this unknown person. The unknown man proved to be faster than that Northern Barbarian and thus evaded Raniel Von Trias’s attack. Raniel Von Trias now decides to use everything he has.

Using acceleration, Raniel Von Trias goes toward the person and then flicks on their forehead. To his surprise, it is Assistant Professor Rania. She tells him to not attack a person he does not know from next time on.

Raniel Von Trias then learns about Master asking Assistant Professor Rania to clean up the mess down here. Raniel Von Trias’s master as in the old man from the potion shop. Assistant Professor Rania tells Raniel Von Trias that they both go a long way back.

Assistant Professor Rania was extraordinarily efficient in battle. Her movements are something else. A scholar who spent their life reading would never be able to move like that and Raniel Von Trias knew that very well. We will see in the next chapter more about who Assistant Professor Rania actually is.
