Min Hee-jin’s press conference on April 25th, aimed at addressing allegations amid the ADOR-HYBE conflict, has sparked controversy and drawn scepticism from a HYBE employee. The CEO of ADOR revealed text messages between herself and HYBE CEO Bang Si-hyuk, as well as interactions with NewJeans members’ parents, asserting her innocence and denying any wrongdoing.
However, a HYBE employee took to Blind, a platform for verified office workers, to dispute Min Hee-jin’s claims. The employee accused Min Hee-jin of fabricating information, altering timestamps, and distorting truths to fit her narrative, describing her press conference as “full of lies” and akin to “writing a novel according to her wishes”.
The employee’s post quickly gained traction on the Korean forum “theqoo”, amassing over 40,000 views in less than an hour. This development underscores the intensifying tensions and deepening rift between ADOR and HYBE, further fueling speculation and scrutiny in the competitive K-pop industry.
As the conflict between ADOR and HYBE continues to unfold, public interest and scrutiny are likely to persist, reflecting broader dynamics and challenges in the entertainment sector.
The contrasting narratives presented by Min Hee-jin and the HYBE employee highlight the complexity and controversies surrounding corporate disputes in the highly competitive realm of K-pop.
