Well, the series’ prime focus would be Gypsy telling the world her side of the story as the child who suffered from abuse from her mother due to her suffering from Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy in which the caretaker, who is often the mother, makes up symptoms or causes real symptoms for their child to appear sick.
The series also tells the story of how Gypsy meets her now husband Ryan, who cares for her like she deserves the world. It is apparent that he loves her the way she deserves to be loved and cherished, as during a recent outing, he was seen protecting her from swarming paparazzi.
A part of the documentary series also tells the view of Gypsy’s dad and sister on her relationship with Ryan and how her life would be now that she would be released from prison to live a fulfilling life.
Gypsy didn’t only suffer from medical abuse from her mother, but she also suffered from emotional abuse as her mother would often emotionally blackmail her into doing things she wanted, and Gypsy would go along to avoid hurting her mother’s feelings.
Gypsy has the chance to tell her story to the world after serving her time in prison for taking part in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, as she was the one who sought help from her former boyfriend to end her mother’s life.
Gypsy opens up about the first time she tried to run from her house and the events that happened following her attempt that ended with Dee Dee chining her to bed for weeks and her realization about being addicted to pain meds.
Gypsy tries to run away with her former boyfriend only to be lured back in by her mother with promises of freedom and independence but instead is left chained to the bed, leading to a desperate Gypsy seeking out help from her boyfriend to kill her mom.
The docu-series had Gypsy revealing her secret of being engaged and getting cold feet before marriage as she fears happiness and her family members requesting her to postpone the marriage until she can get the hang of her life.

The Prison Confessions Of Gypsy Rose Blanchard episode 1 will become available for viewers on Lifetime on 5 January at 8:00 PM [E.T.] and will focus on Gypsy remembering her earliest memories from childhood and the sexual allegations that she still maintained claiming to be sexually abused by the hands of her grandfather while she was under her mother’s care.
