Synopsis
He Ran (Xu Ruo Han), our female protagonist, is a young aspiring painter who comes from a prosperous and traditional household. She has been set up to get married, but He Ran no interest in following through with the plans enforced by her family. One day, while at the hair salon, she overhears a man’s voice and is instantly smitten by it.
Xiao Han (Jerry Yan), the man whose voice captured He Ran’s attention, turned out to be a middle-aged horticulturist who seemed to be talented in his field of work but not exactly looking for love. He was a despondent man who was living life for the sake of it. However, for He Ran, she simply could not get his soothing voice out of her head.
She desperately wants to reveal Xiao Han’s identity and build a relationship with him. She pursues Xiao Han and eventually starts an intimate bond with him, who quickly develops strong feelings for her as well. But the couple must overcome what seem to be insurmountable challenges: If He Ran’s family learns of their connection, they will take all possible measures to put an end to it.
And to make matters worse, He Ran has a potentially catastrophic medical issue. What will become of He Ran and Xiao Han’s love story? Will they be able to reach the happy ending they’ve dreamed of together? Or will the harsh circumstances that fat keeps throwing their way shake them?

Cast of The Forbidden Flower
Jerry Yan is best known for his role in the Taiwanese Adaptation of Boys Over Flowers (Meteor Garden,2001) as a member of the F4. Jerry Yan is a Taiwanese veteran actor who’s been in the industry for over two decades now. Playing the role of Xiao Han, Jerry showcases his expertise in acting through his role and great chemistry with the female protagonist.
Xu Ruo Han plays the role of our 18-year-old painter, He Ran, in The Forbidden Flower. Scouted by Jackie Chan, Ruo Han has starred in two of his movies, including ‘My Diary’ and ‘Vanguard. Other notable works of our talented young actress include ‘Catch Up My Prince’ and ‘Out with a Bang.’
