The Technoroid series is a Japanese mixed-media project developed by Noriyasu Agematsu, RUCCA, CyberAgent, Avex Pictures, and Elements Garden. WonderPlanet released a mobile game entitled Technoroid Unison Heart on January 21, 2022. There was an anime series by Doga Kobo called Technoroid Overmind that was scheduled to premiere in the summer of 2022, but a COVID-19 outbreak at the studio delayed its release.

What Is About Technoroid Overmind Anime?
In Technoroid anime, the story takes place in a futuristic world in which climate change has fundamentally altered human life. As mentioned in the teaser, this is a result of the sun. “The Heat of the Sun Melted Everything and the Whole World Sank into the Sea”. Consequently, many entertainment activities have been restricted. The only hope of humanity now lies in the Entertainment Tower Babel, where not only humans but also androids fill unique roles.
For reaching the Tower’s top, the three teams KNoCC, stand-alone, and Mechanica Metallica will fight. In response to rising sea levels and a rapidly declining population, androids have been developed to do most menial tasks, allowing humans to focus on other tasks. Aside from providing manual labor and customer service, androids also entertain humans with Babel—a tower where participants compete against each other in a climbing stage to win prize money. The higher the climb, the greater the prize money.
The Androids Cobalt, Chrom, Neon, and Kei have unpaid bills and are about to lose their electricity. Desperate to make a quick buck, they decide to become Babel climbers. Cobalt resolves to somehow improve their chances after watching stand-alone, the top climber unit gives an impressive performance. However, winning the audience’s favor is a great challenge.
As the group comes into a strange choreographer eager to give away his routine, Cobalt views this as their only path out. The androids form KNoCC with the assistance of their human companion, Esora Shibaura, as they ascend to the summit of Babel. Yet, they will face discrimination based on their androids along the route.

Voice artists include Furukawa Makoto, who voices Kite, the series’ prominent character. Ura Kazuki voices Cobalt, while Kajiwara Gakuto voices Night. Kayto voices Neon, while Shibuya Satoi voices Chrom.
The series is produced by Tanaka Hiroyuki and Nagasaki Yukio. Haagiya Keigo voices Light and Kei voices Mineta Hiromu. Im, Ga-Hee is the director of the series, while LAM handles the character design. Fans around the world are raving about the opening and ending credits.
