When the creators Stephan Warren and Johnnie Ingram were on tour for their reality show “We’re Here”, they noticed that their crew and the cast were constantly swiping on dating apps whenever they used to reach a new location.
This is what gave both ideas for the new reality show in which they will be able to portray the online dating that people nowadays are so excited about.
Swiping America welcomed four glamourous and hot singles, which include lesbian, gay, trans, and straights which will go the dates in eight different locations in the USA. Their first meets will be captured in the camera and will be delivered to the audience. Swiping America has already made its amazing debut in the month of June 2023.

HBO Max’s new reality dating series, Swiping America, is what has become the topic of discussion among fans right now. Stephan Warren and Johnnie Ingram, the creators of We’re Here, which featured the contestant trio from RuPaul’s Drag Race traveling across the country to help bring out the drag queen passion of many residents, have come back again with the same reality TV pattern but a new concept.

Meeting new people and connecting with them has become a hobby now, so Warren and Ingram decided to come up with the intriguing show in which they will be documenting the lives of four New Yorkers traveling around the USA to look for potential matches through dating apps, go on dates and enjoy the most amazing time of their lives full of love, happiness, and joy.
When asked in an interview, Stephan Warren mentioned that the thing that he likes the most about Swiping America is this show is all-inclusive because it consists of queers, lesbian, trans, and non-binary people, and there will be no judgments “because love is love”, added he. The singles from the city of New York, Kesun Lee, the real estate agent; Ashleigh Warren, the entrepreneur; Reagan Baker, the hairstylist and Krishnanand Kelkar, the data scientist.
All these four singles will be followed in eight cities of the USA, which comprise Asheville, NC., Honolulu Hawaii, New Orleans, LA., Austin Texas, Miami Fla., Seattle Wash., Boulder Colo.; and Santa Fe, NM. In all the cities, Kesun, Ashleigh, Reagan, and Krishnanand will swipe new people on the dating app, go on dates with them and probably hook up if they feel right.
According to Ingram, Swiping America is not a competition show, and it’s not about any manufactured drama, but it is simply a “Rom-Doc”. Swiping America will consist of eight episodes, and in each episode, the New Yorkers will cover one city. Moreover, there is no new news about season two yet, but the creators hinted that they are planning to go international as they want to see how different people from different cultures react to online dating and swiping.
