Plot Summary of Opus Colors
In episode 1, we are just given a basic introduction to our three main leads and a run-through on what Perception Art is and what exactly Eisen School does. Kazuya, Kyo, and Jun were childhood friends, and from the first episode, it is made clear that Kyo grew apart from the Trio due to some reason.
In the school, Kyo tries to avoid Kazuya, who tries to approach him many times. The school has two types of students Artists and Graders; Kyo is a Grader. Meanwhile, Jun and Kazuya are artists. These two groups are not on friendly terms and are only seen together when they are paired up together.
When episode one ends, we see Jun paired up with a friendly Nanba Michitaka, and Kazuya gets paired with Kyo; Kazuya is happy about it, but Kyo is not. In the episode, we see the students getting an option to form new teams, and Kyo wants to change teams.
We see the ‘traditional fight’ between graders and artists and Kazuya desperately trying to make Kyo stay with him as a team. The second episode ends with Kazuya and Kyo on the same team.
In the third episode, we see people’s, aka other competitors’ opinions about Taksei’s and Kazuya’a team, with many believing Kazuya is riding his parent’s legacy. We see Iori, the legendary artist everyone was fighting over making an appearance.
And Kyo and Kazuya are having trouble working together; Kazuya is also bothered by the fact that Kyo decided on the theme and concept by himself. We also find out that Iori and Kyo worked together on an award-winning project.
But after an incident that involves some emotional words from Kazuya and an emotionless reaction from Kyo, the duo finally manages to create their art form. In episode four, we see Kazuya going to the curation meeting.
The generals are investigating a scribble, perception art, down without permission. In the episode, we also see what happens during a curation meeting; it is almost everything you expect it to be: allotting spaces and more.
We are also introduced to new characters and plots in Episode 4. The episode initially makes us think that Kyo and Kazuya’s relationship has gotten better, but they part ways again.
