Love Alarm Clap! Clap! Clap! The Series got inspired by Love Alarm, a webtoon released in 2014. The concept behind the series is the Love Alarm app that rings when a person finds someone they like within a radius of 10 meters. It sounds risky, right? But, the makers of the app claim to reduce the risk.
Love Alarm Clap! Clap! Clap! Shows how the participants fall for each other. Meanwhile, they must compete to win the most hearts through the app to win a cash prize. The cards help them to choose a contestant for a date, hold a contestant’s hand for an hour, steal another contestant’s date, and more.
The series consists of only eight contestants. The four female contestants are Cha Cha, Jasmine, White Rose, and Gumiho. Meanwhile, the four male contestants are Ahn Saeroi, Tarzan, Deer, and Tinkerbell. These are the nicknames. According to Korean Standard Time, the series aired from 09 December 2022 (Friday) to 03 February 2023 (Friday) at 08:30 PM.

Love Alarm Clap! Clap! Clap! Plot
The 5 billion views series includes contestants with different personalities and sexual orientations. They cannot reveal their real name, job, age, or qualification to eliminate partiality. So, using nicknames to address each other is the only option left. This concept has been taken from Single’s Inferno.
In the first episode, Tinkerbell brings a twist by making the viewers think that he likes Jasmine and ends up addressing Deer as his love interest. However, he did not fail to show his charming and cute personality.
This dating show went viral when Jasmine chose another female contestant, White Rose, for dating. It happens in the 11th episode, and she admits to liking White Rose from the first episode. This confession put social media on fire.
Some viewers also picked up several hints from the first episode addressing Jasmine’s crush on White Rose. She wanted to sit beside White Rose and did not dare to hit her back with the pillow, though vice-versa occurred.
Jasmine protected White Rose from getting hurt and always tried to make her game easier. How she always looked at her worked as a hint for some viewers. Some even thought that the hints were from the beginning. These bold moves were getting appreciated by some viewers, but here comes the twist.
Several viewers supported Jasime. But, surprisingly, it turned up to be a queerbait. It is a common tactic used in the entertainment industry. Those who posted the fake news about their LGBTQ relationship had edited the clip!
So, the netizens got angry knowing they would not get the expected content delivered. Meanwhile, Jasmine and White Rose’s relationship could have no destination because South Korea does not allow same-gender marriages, and they cannot adopt children too.
