Foundation Season 2 Preview
As Season 1 came to a close, the Anacreons and Thespians put an end to their long-running fight and joined forces with the Foundation to plan the end of the Galactic Empire.
In the meantime, it is found that rebels have permanently changed the DNA of the original Cleon, who is the source of the genetic dynasty. This means that the genetic dynasty that has ruled Trantor for more than 10,000 years has come to an end. Salvor finds out in the season finale that she is Gaal’s child, and 138 years later, she and Gaal meet up again on Synnax.
Goyer said that season 2 will show more of Asimov’s complicated worlds and characters, like Hober Mallow, the scary general Bel Riose, and all the Outer Suns.
Because of this, we can expect that the already huge “Foundation” universe will get even bigger and probably more complicated.
Galactic chaos and the theory of psychohistory, which lets you predict big events, will probably be big themes in the next season as well.
Even though we don’t know how far in the future the sequel will be set, we can expect Hari Seldon to still be in charge since he plays such an important role in Asimov’s “Foundation” books. Also, since Gaal and Salvor get back together in the last few minutes of season 1, it’s likely that we’ll see more of them together.
