There’s been bad blood between Aemond and Aegon for a while, and things exploded this episode. Aemond took his sweet time joining the fight, then blasted Aegon with his dragon’s fire. He might claim he was aiming for someone else, but it felt like he wouldn’t have minded hurting his brother too.
Even after the battle, he was hanging around Aegon with his sword drawn – suspicious, right? The books tell a different story though. In the book, both brothers fight together, and there’s no mention of Aemond attacking Aegon with his dragon.
