The stakes are more than just being Ramsay’s head chef at one of his new restaurants as the winner also gets a quarter million dollars, a life-changing sum. This season kicked off with 22 chefs and we’re down to 18. So, how did our cuisiniers fare in last week’s episode? Come with us and find out.
Hell’s Kitchen Season 22 Episode 6 Recap
This episode is titled “Fusion Confusion” and it combines football and several types of cuisine. But can these aspiring chefs manage to mix French, Italian, Japanese, Thai and American dishes without making an unedible mess?
Who’s The Guest Judge? Who Are The Remaining Chefs?
The guest judge is Tony Messina, a pro when it comes to fusion cooking. So far, and as stated earlier, we’re down to 18 contestants divided into two teams. Team Red is Atoye, Donya, Carmen, Sammi, Sandra Leigh, and Raneisha. Team blue has Dhamere, Jason, Devon, Bradley, Johnathan Ryan, and Jermaine.
After Melissa’s elimination, the Red Team is out of control. They lack communication, leadership and Gordon Ramsay gives them a stern scolding. Things kick off in a soccer-themed field with nets. Gordon wants to ease the tension, so each team will pick a chef to shoot a few balls. To give them an idea on how to shoot a football, Ramsay invites Team USA soccer Alexi Lalas.
The balls are kicked and the distribution of fusion dishes is given. Team Blue gets French cuisine and Team Red gets Japanese cuisine. The blue team wins on a tight four-to-three score. And the best cook Jonathan who gets a a round-trip ticket to Vegas. The losing team, Team Red, who can’t get their ducks in a row is stuck shucking peas. When it comes to elimination, Raneisha gets sent home.
