Crunchyroll has announced that Hanaori-san Still Wants to Fight in the Next Life will premiere with a same-day English dub on July 11. Alongside the announcement, the streaming platform revealed the full English voice cast and production staff, allowing viewers worldwide to watch both the subtitled and dubbed versions as soon as new episodes are released.

A Former Demon King Meets His Greatest Rival Again

Hanaori-san Still Wants to Fight in the Next Life is based on the romantic comedy manga by Hekiru Hikawa. The story follows Narukami Ryusei, a reclusive young man who spends most of his time playing video games until he discovers that he is the reincarnation of a powerful Demon King from another world.

His peaceful life is turned upside down after Meteor Hanaori unexpectedly appears at his apartment. She is revealed to be the reincarnation of the Hero who defeated him in their previous lives. Their relationship becomes even more complicated after Ryusei starts working as a teacher at the high school she attends.

The manga began serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Morning Two magazine in August 2021 and has reached nine collected volumes as of March 2026. Hekiru Hikawa is also known for Pani Poni, which inspired the anime Pani Poni Dash! in 2005, making this the creator’s second manga to receive an anime adaptation.

The anime premieres on July 11 and will stream on Crunchyroll in multiple regions, including North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the CIS, and India. International viewers will be able to watch the series shortly after its Japanese broadcast.

Fans in Japan will also have several streaming options. Following its television premiere, the series will be available on services such as d Anime Store and ABEMA, giving domestic audiences more ways to keep up with new episodes.

Crunchyroll has also confirmed a same-day English dub, allowing viewers to choose between the Japanese version with subtitles or the English dub as soon as each episode is released.

Cast and Production Staff Revealed

Jun Fukuyama leads the voice cast as Narukami Ryusei, while Akira Sekine voices Meteor Hanaori. They are joined by Seena Hoshiki, Hitomi Ueda, Sora Tokui, Nene Hieda, Rie Takahashi, Hiromi Igarashi, Ayasa Ito, and Yoko Hikasa in supporting roles.

The anime is directed by Hideyo Yamamoto at LIDENFILMS, with Yukie Sugawara overseeing the series composition. Yosuke Okuda handles the character designs, Naoka Ayata serves as art director, and Yukari Hashimoto and RON compose the soundtrack.

Crunchyroll also introduced members of the English dub production team. Talent coordinators Tara A. Williams and Brittni Hurley are joined by engineering managers Gino Palencia and Brandon Peters, who are helping bring the English version to audiences worldwide.

The opening theme, “High Maintenance Girl,” is performed by Masayoshi Ōishi, while “Very Good Encounter” serves as the ending theme and is performed by Maaya Uchida, who also appears in the anime’s voice cast.

Both songs reflect the anime’s blend of romance, comedy, and fantasy. The energetic opening captures the playful rivalry between the former Demon King and Hero, while the ending offers a softer tone that complements the series’ emotional moments.

Together, the music and animation help establish the lighthearted atmosphere that defines Hanaori-san Still Wants to Fight in the Next Life, balancing comedy with the growing relationship between its two main characters.

English Manga Release Follows the Anime

Fans interested in reading the original story will not have to wait long for an official English release. Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed the manga and will publish it in omnibus format.

The first English omnibus volume is scheduled to launch in October 2026, allowing new readers to experience the source material after the anime premieres.

With a worldwide simulcast, a same-day English dub, and an upcoming English manga release, Hanaori-san Still Wants to Fight in the Next Life is set to reach a much broader audience as one of the newest romantic comedy anime of the Summer 2026 season.
