2022 is shaping up to be the year for amazing women-centric Korean dramas. With shows like Reflection of You (2021) and The Age Of Youth Seasons 1 & 2, JTBC already has a stellar reputation with women-centric shows. Hence viewers are very enthusiastic to see what their latest offering Green Mothers’ Club has in store.
Despite being similar to shows like SKY Castle (2018) and Penthouse (2020) in that they also feature the relationships between mothers and children as the driving force of the story, Green Mothers’ Club has taken a different approach by indulging in a more down-to-earth slice-of-life way of telling the story. To see how successful the creators have been in their mission, viewers have to watch Green Mothers’ Club Episode 1.

Green Mothers’ Club Director Talks About the Drama
The online premiere for the drama Green Mothers’ Club recently took place. It was attended by the main actors Lee Yo Won, Choo Ja Hyun, Kim Gyu Ri, Jang Hye In, Joo Min Gyung, and the director of the show Ra Ha Na.
The Green Mothers’ Club director Ra Ha Na revealed her thoughts on the various aspects of filming and the progression of the drama. Firstly, she expressed her satisfaction with the cast lineup. Ra Ha Na promises the viewers a very well-made drama filled with the passionate scriptwriting of Shin Yi Won and the synchronous acting of the cast that did justice to the script; the scriptwriter was pleased that the actors she had in mind while writing the characters all agreed to join the drama.
Green Mothers’ Club director Ra Ha Na on the synergy of the actors on set: “There are a lot of similar traits between all of the characters, but the actors succeeded in maximizing the individuality of each character. As I look back at the shooting process, all the actors really became one with their characters as shooting progressed.”
The team behind Green Mothers’ Club has high expectations regarding the drama since other dramas on the small screen that was about the relationship between parents and their children and the competitive academic environment like ‘SKY Castle’ and ‘Penthouse’ have become legendary hits among the domestic and international viewers.
About this, Ra Ha Na says, “everybody who came across the script complimented its nature of handling the subject matter in a realistic way. Moreover, unlike those shows which were about high school students, Green Mothers’ Club deals with elementary school kids, so they are not comparable, in my opinion. Also, the viewers watching the show will have at least one character who will make them say, “oh, it’s my story”.
