Hans Zimmer, the famous composer known for his movie scores like Gladiator and Interstellar, is bringing his live tour back to North America after seven years.
He’ll be joined by his band and an orchestra for shows in 17 cities, starting in Duluth, Georgia, on September 6 and ending in Vancouver, British Columbia, on October 6.
Zimmer’s last U.S. appearance was in 2017 at Coachella. This time, he’ll have a special birthday show at Madison Square Garden on September 12.
Each concert will feature new arrangements of his famous movie scores, including music from Gladiator, Interstellar, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight, and Dune.
The Tour Is Happening Again After 2017
Deciding which songs to play is tough because Zimmer has composed music for so many films, especially those by Christopher Nolan like Inception and The Dark Knight trilogy.
He’s also worked on No Time to Die, Man of Steel, and Wonder Woman, among others. Zimmer is grateful for the support and promises an unforgettable show for his fans. He said in an interview
“I’m thrilled to return to perform in North America with my wonderful band and excited to share this phenomenal show. I love this feeling of uniting my family of extraordinary musicians with you, the audience.”
“Just an unbelievable group of talents, who in my opinion, are some of the best musicians in the world. But nothing would have meaning without the good grace and support of you, the other part of the family – the audience. Ultimately, the music connects us all, and I promise you this: we will always play our best, straight from the heart.”
Hans Zimmer Live is organized by Semmel Concerts and Concerts West, and it’s going to be really popular when it starts this fall.
If you’re a fan of Hans Zimmer, you can enjoy his live performances from Europe in 2022 by streaming them or getting his live album with his band, The Disruptive Collective.
The album includes many of his longtime musical partners like Lisa Gerrard from Gladiator, Lebo M. from The Lion King, Loire Cotler from X-Men: Dark Phoenix, and Tina Guo from Wonder Woman.
