George and Tammy Episode 3 release date is quite close. The series throws light on the iconic lives of the country music artists George and Tammy, who also shaped the entire genre. Tammy is known as the First Lady of Country Music, and the relationship she shared with George is something that every person got inspired from.
Even their music showcases their lives and the rocky bits as well as the good ones. It inspired her to make one of her most successful songs called Stand by Your Man. Showtime has created this limited series for its fall lineup this year.
Back in George and Tammy‘s Episode 1, titled The Race Is On, we saw the setting back in 1967. At this time, George was reeling from a downfall in his career after his reputation had gone way down. He has now become popular for his alcoholism. Tammy Wynette used to perform in the country music genre at that time under the alias of Virginia Pugh. She found a little success during that time and obviously was a huge fan of George. She goes over to one of his concerts, along with her husband Don, at the Grand Ole Opry.
Billy Sherrill was the producer for George at that time, and he orchestrated a meeting between his client and Tammy. George told her that he would let her perform at one of her concerts on tour. Although Don forces Tammy to pitch one of his songs to George for recording.
While a soundcheck at the stage was going on, Tammy sang her song Apartment No. 9, and George immediately got hooked to it. As they get closer and closer, Tammy catches Goerge hungover and passes out. He cleans him while he claims to her that she is unhappy in her marriage with Fon, and he knows it.

While the trip is at a dinner party, Don tries to degrade Jones and as a way of retaliation, sings Divorce to taunt him. Don immediately gets too angry and starts fighting with Tammy and insulting her. Later, Tammy decides to finally leave him along with the children to go with George.
In the second episode, titled Stand by Your Man, we saw that George and Tammy have finally run away together along with the children.
