Gamescom 2026 has set another major attendance milestone, with 368,000 visitors from 131 countries attending the gaming event in Cologne. The figure represents a 6% year-over-year increase in international visitors and reinforces Gamescom’s position as one of the industry’s biggest global gatherings.
According to the official Gamescom, more than 36,000 trade visitors attended this year’s event, with international participants making up more than half of that professional audience. The event also generated approximately 624 million digital views across its various shows and online programming.
Gamescom 2026 Sets New Exhibitor Record
The growth extended beyond attendance. Gamescom 2026 featured 1,743 companies from 66 countries, an 11% increase compared with the previous year, occupying approximately 233,000 square meters of exhibition space.
For the first time, the available exhibition space was completely sold out. International exhibitors accounted for 72% of all participating companies, representing the highest proportion recorded at Gamescom. The event also featured 48 national pavilions representing 41 countries, further highlighting the show’s expanding international reach.

South Korea had a notable presence, with 36 companies participating across major publishers, technology companies and independent developers. KRAFTON, Samsung Electronics, NC, Pearl Abyss, Ocean Drive Studio and Shift Up were among the Korean companies represented at the event.
Gamescom’s digital reach also grew substantially in 2026. Opening Night Live surpassed 78 million views, while the Gamescom Awesome Indies showcase attracted more than 302,000 views, representing a year-over-year increase of more than 670%.
The event’s biggest announcements included new footage and updates for games such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Songs of the Past, Fable, Crimson Desert, Alien: Isolation 2, Onimusha: Way of the Sword and Persona 4 Revival. The official Gamescom listings also confirm that several of these titles were among the event’s major highlights.
Gamescom 2026’s results come after the event attracted 357,000 visitors in 2025, meaning this year’s attendance represents another substantial increase. Gamescom 2027 is scheduled to run from August 23 to 29, 2027, with the public portion beginning August 26.
