No matter what scratches your itch, anime has it all—feeling a bit romantic? Anime romance has a long list to cater to your inner romantic. Feeling a bit down? Don’t worry. There are both comedy and full-of-feels anime series that will either help you laugh your butt off or cry your heart out.
With a list so long, you might get confused in selecting your next watch. Anime has romance, comedy, adventure, fantasy, sci-fi, drama, slice of life, etc., to name a few genres of anime and manga. In such lists come Gakuen Babysitters, a fluffy cute anime that is about. You guessed it! Babysitters. But not just babysitters.
This endearing anime has a whole play school full of chubby adorable kids who are supervised and cared for by their babysitters. In many of these kids, there are a few on whom each episode focuses, but the storyline continues day after day. Particularly following kids- Taka Kaminati, twins Takuma Mamizuka and Kazuma Mamizuka, Midori Sawatari, and Kirin Kumatsuka.
However, the main duo of the Kashima brothers- Ryuuichi and Kotarou have recently lost their parents, and thus the responsibility of toddler Kotarou falls upon Ryuuichi, who is just 15 years old. To ensure his brother does not lack anything, Ryuuichi enrolls him in Morinomiya Daycare Centre, a daycare under his school Morinomiya School.
He also gives legal guardianship to Yoko Morinomiya- the chairwoman of the school. This win-win situation is balanced by Ryuuichi working as a babysitter at the same daycare. And as the protagonist, he is loved by every child enrolled in the prestigious daycare.
As the plot progresses further, Ryuuichi makes friends with many of his colleagues, is adored by all children, and does not forget to shower his younger brother Kotarou with love and affection.
Gakuen Babysitters Chapter 131 Recap
In the chapter titled “School ‘Daycare’ Scramble,” Takuma and Kazuma, along with their father, Kousuke Mamizuka, are going through some of their (newborn) baby photos. Kousuke is teary-eyed, looking at his sons growing up so quickly (according to him). The so-called problem arises when both the twins ask their father to identify which is which, and he is unable to.
Shocked at his inability to differentiate his kids, Kouuke breaks down while his wife, Umi, consoles him and the boys that she is unable to do so either. Relieved that this happens to both of their parents, both Takuma and Kazuma take the album to their daycare the next day.
Going around showing everyone their picture and asking them to identify which brother is which, the boys have fun when no one can recognize who is Takum and who is Kazuma. At first, the babysitters- Ryuuichi and Usaida Yoshito, are confused and worried about giving the wrong answer, but when they understand that the kids are having fun with everyone’s cluelessness, they let it be.
The twins run around, showing everyone they know- Kotarou (fellow toddler), Yagi Komaya, and Nezu Chuukichi (students at Morinomiya School. But when Usokawa, a student at the same school wishing to be popular, takes a random guess without knowing the whole context, he ruins the fun for the two boys, which leads to them bawling. Tough luck, buddy.
Ryuu (Ryuuichi) explains the situation, and the boys now hate the album. After school, their mother, Umi, tells them that she does know which baby is which due to a stain on Kazuma’s sleeve and rashes on Tazuma due to sweating. She then tells the boys to keep it a secret from their father. This cuteness then ends with the boys asking their mother to identify them in another photo.
Gakuen Babysitters Chapter 132 Spoilers
It’s another beautiful day at the daycare center, and our beautiful Kirin is gifted a four-leaf clover by Kotarou. Of course, her overprotective father, Satoru, thinks that every other boy (be it that he is a toddler with not much understanding of love) is out there to lure his sweet little daughter. Especially when Kirin says, and I quote, “Kirin will take good care of it.”
So it’s not all that surprising that he immediately forms a plausible situation of 10 years into the future of Kotarou and Kirin being in a relationship. In the very next second, he also dismisses it because he believes it will never happen. Classic Sotaru-san.
