Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is such a stunning anime, it’s almost unfair! But fans have been lucky to enjoy this amazing series recently. It premiered quietly last fall but has since become a top contender for Anime of the Year, with its first season wrapping up this month.
The anime’s success has also had a big impact on the manga sales. The team behind the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End manga shared how much the anime boosted excitement for the season finale.
Before the anime aired, the manga had sold about 10 million copies over three years. But once the first season ended, sales shot up to 20 million copies.
That’s quite the achievement! It took three years to sell 10 million copies, but the anime doubled that number in just six months. Incredible, right?
If you haven’t watched Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End yet, you’re missing out! It all started with creators Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe in Weekly Shonen Sunday.
Madhouse turned it into an anime juggernaut. You can binge-watch the first season right now with either dubbed or subbed versions. And if you prefer reading, Viz Media has the English version of the manga available.
Here’s a little about the story:
“After the party of heroes defeated the Demon King, they restored peace to the land and returned to lives of solitude. Generations pass, and the elven mage Frieren comes face to face with humanity’s mortality.
She takes on a new apprentice and promises to fulfill old friends’ dying wishes. Can an elven mind make peace with the nature of life and death? Frieren embarks on her quest to find out.”
In short, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is an incredible series you don’t want to miss!
