Friday’s episode of Fire Country brings major surprises, emotional moments, and life-threatening situations. The biggest question is about Manny (Kevin Alejandro) and what exactly is happening to him. It does not take long to get an answer because his toxicology report confirms pesticide poisoning.
This is the same thing that caused Birch’s death. The situation gets even more serious when Eve (Jules Latimer) realizes someone must have exposed them to pesticides and then tried to hide the truth. Now, she is determined to find out who is responsible.
Meanwhile, Vince (Billy Burke) and Sharon (Diane Farr) make a difficult decision regarding Walter (Jeff Fahey). They decide he needs to go into a full-time memory care facility.
Walter, being the stubborn man that he is, is not happy about it. He hates the idea of leaving home and going to assisted living. However, after disappearing last week, it is clear that the Leones can no longer take care of him properly at home.
This episode is packed with important moments. Family members try to repair broken relationships. A lighthouse becomes the center of a risky rescue mission.
A new romance starts to grow, but unexpected complications arise. And all of this happens while heavy rain continues to pour down. Every character plays an important role in this episode, setting the stage for even bigger events in the second half of the season.
A Shocking Truth About Three Rock Creates a New Conflict
Manny’s pesticide poisoning is extremely dangerous. His treatment includes strong antibiotics and nerve blockers to help his breathing. Doctors are focused on making sure his organs do not fail. Gaby (Stephanie Arcila) is deeply worried about him. She wants to make sure he gets the best care possible.
When Eve returns to Three Rock, she finds out that things are much worse than expected. Every single member of her team is also sick from pesticide poisoning. At first, she does not know if they got exposed at the camp or at a previous job. However, the first priority is getting the prisoners to the hospital before they end up like Birch.
As Eve watches over her team, she makes an important realization. The well water at the camp is the source of the poison. She quickly takes away all the prisoners’ water bottles and orders tests on the water supply. The results confirm that the water is dangerous, but by that time, everyone at the camp is already suffering.
Eve takes this information to Sharon, hoping she can help. Sharon investigates further and finds out that a large chemical company, Oxalta, is behind the poisoning. This is an important discovery, but there is a problem. Oxalta is very powerful and has a senator on its board.
The company donates a lot of money to the state government, which means they influence important decisions. Sharon warns Eve that Oxalta will not be happy if they try to dig deeper into the issue.

As expected, Oxalta sends a lawyer to deliver a strict message. They tell Sharon that Cal Fire cannot communicate with Oxalta unless they have legal representation.
This effectively shuts down the investigation, making it almost impossible to hold the company accountable. The fight for justice is turning into a battle between a small team of firefighters and a massive corporation with strong political connections.
Walter Faces His New Reality with Help from Unexpected Friends
Walter is not happy about moving into a memory care facility. He jokingly calls it “Club Dead,” making it clear how much he dislikes the idea.
However, the storm washes out the road leading to the facility, which means Vince and Sharon cannot move him yet. Instead, they bring him to the station for the time being. This gives everyone at Station 42 a front-row seat to the ongoing conflict between Walter and Vince.
As father and son argue, the station receives an emergency patient. A surfer named Rocco (Kai Bradbury) arrives with a large piece of beach wreckage lodged in his ribs. Sharon takes care of his injuries while Gaby and Audrey help his friend. The friend suddenly suffers a seizure while arguing that he needs to go back out to the water. He insists that he must surf again because the storm has created a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
After they stabilize the young man, Walter steps in. He talks to the surfer and convinces him that going back into the storm is a terrible idea. Walter understands the thrill of taking risks, and he uses that connection to help the surfer see reason. This moment changes something in Walter. As he speaks to the young daredevil, he realizes that he has been fighting Vince for no reason.
This realization leads Walter to accept his new reality. He finally agrees to move into the assisted living facility. Watching Walter go through this difficult transition makes Vince think about the future. He decides that if the time ever comes when Bode has to put him in a home, he will forgive him in advance.
A Lighthouse Rescue Becomes a Desperate Fight Against the Storm
This episode’s main emergency takes place at a lighthouse. Jake (Jordan Calloway) and Bode (Max Thieriot) rush to the scene after hearing that a group of British tourists is trapped at the top of the lighthouse. The stairwell has collapsed, making it impossible for them to come down.
Using a ladder, Jake and Bode manage to bring all but one of the tourists to safety. However, as the last woman, Lacey (Gigi Neil), tries to come down, the remaining stairs collapse. Bode reacts quickly and catches her just in time, preventing serious injury. She only ends up with a sprained ankle.
While helping the tourists, Jake and Bode discover that the lighthouse caretaker, Carlton (Adrian Hough), is still at the top. He refuses to leave because he wants to guide two incoming ships to safety. The storm has knocked out their GPS, and without a guiding light, they could crash into the rocks.
Jake and Bode work together to fix the lighthouse beacon so it can send out a signal. Their plan works for a short time, but then the old fuses overheat. This causes a fire to break out inside the lighthouse while one of the ships is still approaching the dangerous shore.
The firefighters quickly put out the fire, but this means shutting off the electricity. Without power, the beacon goes dark again. Bode suggests a risky plan—starting a controlled fire and using the reflection to create a guiding light. This idea is dangerous because the lighthouse is already weak and could catch fire easily.
Before trying this plan, Jake calls in additional units as backup. Bode then uses a piece of paper and a battery—an old trick he learned in prison—to start the fire. The plan works, and they successfully guide the last ship to safety. The rescue is full of challenges, but in the end, Jake and Bode manage to save the day.
New Relationships Bring Excitement and Complications
Jake’s personal life is going well—at least for now. He makes breakfast in bed for Violet (Nesta Cooper), his new romantic partner. They share a sweet moment together before she shares big news.
Violet has just been offered a job at a major law firm. At first, this seems like great news, but there is a problem. The law firm is connected to Oxalta, the company that is currently blocking the investigation into the poisoned well.
Meanwhile, Gaby tries to distract herself from her father’s medical crisis by spending time with Finn (Blake Lee). He visits her at the station while they prepare supplies for the storm. Instead of going to the hospital for a minor injury, he asks Gaby to replace his bandages. They start playing a fun game of “This or That,” which helps lighten the mood.

During their conversation, Finn learns that Gaby was once an Olympic diver. He is very impressed by this fact. Later, he shows up at Smokey’s and officially asks Gaby out on a date. She happily accepts. It is clear that she is ready to move forward and leave her past with Bode behind.
What is Bode Hiding?
Although Bode helps with the lighthouse rescue, he is acting suspiciously. Audrey (Levin Rambin) notices a large bandage on his hand. When she asks about it, he brushes it off, saying he got hurt while clearing trees for an old friend. However, Audrey is suspicious because she knows Bode still has a bag of pills.
Later, Vince also asks about the bandage. This time, Bode gives a different excuse. At the end of the episode, his parole officer arrives and questions him about spending time with known criminals. Something is definitely going on, and it looks like next week’s episode will reveal the truth.
