Do you remember Fatal Attraction with Michael Douglas and Glenn Close? Well, Paramount+ will release a remake of a hit thriller from the late 1980s, but in the limited series format with Joshua Jackson and Lizzy Caplan in the upcoming days. The upcoming series will give the original story a modern spin with tones of mental health, power plays, and murder.
If you never saw the original Fatal Attraction, or if you saw it and want to rewatch it ahead of the upcoming premiere, I suggest you do because it’s a classic from the 1980s that, in its time, managed to thrill everybody with an amazing screenplay adaptation from a novel and with the great performances of Glenn Close as the femme fatale and Michael Douglas as the man who fell prey to her charms and tricks.
What To Expect From Fatal Attraction?
Simply put, Fatal Attraction is an erotic thriller that tells us the story of a man, a married man who has an affair with a woman, and when he wants to break it off, things go sour for him as all his life comes crumbling down because the mistress won’t let go and starts doing things to catch his attention and the ones surrounding him.
That’s essentially the story, but we’re yet to see how this modern spin considers and depicts the current dispensations on issues like marital infidelities, abuse, power, and the delivery of justice. With Joshua Jackson playing the man and Lizzy Caplan playing the femme fatale, we’re about to see how these two can fit in a miniseries format, the classic feature film from the 1980s starring Glenn Close and Michael Douglas.
