Netflix’s ten-part Columbian millennial series, Fake Profile, begins with a simple plot but takes you on a roller coaster ride. It might not contain logic, but sensual visuals, twists, drama, thrill, and romance.
Camila gets her match, Fernando, on a dating app. While everything seems true on the internet, Camila surprises him with a visit to get shocked instead. Her prince charming turns out to be a nepotistic married man having two kids in ‘Fake Profile.’ However, the series contains a lot more than that.
Every character in the series has a notable story. Created by Pablo Illanes, Fake Profile stars Lincoln Palomeque, Carolina Miranda, Rodolfo Salas, and more. Meanwhile, the secret is that Rodolfo and Carolina have an explosive on-screen chemistry in the series.

Dr. Fernando’s Hidden Identity
Camila Roman is a stripper in a dance club in Las Vegas who finds her match, a high-end surgeon named Dr. Fernando Castello, on a dating app. They date for four months and fall for each other. She goes to Cartagena, Colombia, to look for him after he does not show up for weeks.
Camila finds Fernando Castello with a local driver’s help and gets shocked. Fernando’s real name turns to be Miguel. Instead of going to Las Vegas, she gets home in his neighborhood and intervenes in his life.
Miguel is married to the daughter, Angela, of a multimillionaire man, Pedro. Miguel’s son, Lucas, installs CCTV cameras in Camila’s house to discover the relationship between her and Miguel after smelling something fishy. Moreover, Miguel had cheated on his wife before with a previous neighbor.
Miguel’s father-in-law asks Lucas for more footage and shows it to Angela. However, even Angela does not choose the straight road.
Pedro’s Intentions
Besides Angela, Pedro has a son named Adrian engaged to Cristobal. They fight and love like a usual couple until a waiter named Inti starts flirting with Adrian. It looks like Inti came to separate them. Meanwhile, everyone learns that Miguel loves his children but not Angela. He married her only for her father’s money. It mentally affects Lucas, and he hates his father, Miguel, for cheating on his mother, Angela.
On the one hand, it turns out that Pedro had paid Inti for creating a rift between Cristobal and Adrian, as the former is not as rich as the latter. He wants to control his children by separating them from their partners. On the other hand, Pedro had hired Camila to pretend to get trapped by Fernando/Miguel and get him divorced. She got guided to Miguel’s neighborhood by Pedro’s assistant, Tina, and her staying costs got provided by Pedro.
Camila meets Angela to inform her how she got catfished on the internet by Dr. Fernando/Miguel and how Pedro hired her. Her statements make Angela furious, and she fights with Camila. It results in Camila’s supposed death. Miguel shows up to help Angela hide Camila’s body. He makes Angela confess her crime in the car, and the next scene shows him dead in the car crash.
Fake Profile Ending Explained
Camila and Miguel only pretended to be dead. The two arrive at Angela’s residency to inform her that they never died. Some audiences might not find any meaning behind the duo’s fake death.
There is one more twist. Pedro separated Adrian from his fiancé because Adrian is not Pedro’s son. Adrian’s mother had an affair, and he was born. It leaves Adrian devastated. Moreover, he cannot go to Cris due to her broken trust.
Camila gets hurt, and Pedro accidentally gets killed by Angela in a short fight. Just like Adrian, Angela went through a lot of injustice in the series. Her father manipulated her, and her husband only loved her money but not her. Moreover, she gets sentenced for killing her father.
Do you remember the driver named David who took Camila to Cartagena? Camila, who recovers from the injury, chooses David over Miguel to have an uncomplicated relationship. She gets back to working for the club in Las Vegas.
Miguel stays around Camila. They often share a glance but do not speak to each other because they move on at the end of the movie.
