K-pop is a treasure consisting of diverse talent. Its global impact is undeniable. K-pop stars are extremely talented with mesmerizing charisma. K-pop songs are often addictive and create a refreshing feeling. K-pop idols are more than just ‘entertainers.’ They motivate their fans to become a better person in their lives.
K-pop idols value their fans the most. We can see many examples in which many people claim that their K-pop idol is the reason that they are alive, as they helped them in fighting with depression and provided mental support to them. One of the K-pop groups which are highly empowering with its members having great talent is “EVERGLOW.”
Everglow is a K-pop group that has taken the music industry by storm with its captivating aura, mesmerizing choreography, and adorable vocals.
Everglow: Debut
Yuehua Agency announced that their K-pop girl group would be debuting on 17th February 2019. On 18th February, they revealed the group members.
And finally, Everglow debuted on 18th March 2019 under ‘Yuehua Entertainment”. They debuted with their single album- “Arrival of Everglow.” The agency informed that its name, “Everglow,” symbolizes the group’s strong will- “glowing forever.” The name of their fandom is “Forever.”
Members:
Everglow consists of six members- E: U, Sihyeon, Mia, Onda, Aisha, and Yiren. All six members are extremely talented, and some of them were famous even before their debut. Some members were part of survival shows like ‘Idol School’ and ‘Produce 101.’
Everglow achieved their first music victory on ‘The Show’ for their amazingly composed and presented “Adios” on 24th September 2019.
E: U
E: U’s real name is ‘Park Jiwon.’ Park Jiwon was born in Hanam, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, on 19th May 1998. She is the main rapper and main dancer of the group and was the fifth member to be revealed.
She was announced as the leader of the group during its debut, but at the time of their comeback, Sihyeon was announced as the leader instead. Her stage name ‘E: U’ means, “especially for you”.
She is the oldest member of the group.
Sihyeon
Sihyeon’s real name is ‘Kim Sihyeon.’ Sihyeon was born in Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, on 5th August 1999. She is the leader, lead vocalist, and face of the group.
She was the first member to be revealed and announced as the leader of Everglow at the time of their comeback on 25th May 2021. She was a part of ‘Produce 101’ and ‘Produce 48’.
She calls ‘Sunmi and U-Know Yunho her role models.
Mia
Mia’s real name is ‘Han Eunji.’ Mia was born in Sambang-dong, Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea, on 13th January 2000. She is the main vocalist, main dancer, and sub-rapper of the group.
She was the second member to be revealed, and her favorite music genre is ‘Indie pop.’ Her stage name ‘Mia’ means “Beautiful Child.” She loves chocolate and taking selfies.
Onda
Onda’s real name is ‘Jo Serim.’ Onda was born in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, on 18th May 2000. She is the lead dancer, sub-vocalist, and visual of the group.
She was the third member to be revealed and contestant on ‘Idol School.’ Her stage name, ‘Onda,’ means “Come to me” in Korean. She is a fan of ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Twilight’.
Aisha
Aisha’s real name is ‘Heo Yerim.’ Aisha was born in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, on 21 July 2000. She is the lead vocalist and sub-rapper of the group. She was the last member to be revealed. She is one of the tallest K-pop idols and a former JYP trainee.
Yiren
Yiren’s real name is ‘Wany Yiren.’ Yiren was born in Zhejiang, Hangzhou, China, on 29 December 2000. She is the group’s lead dancer, sub-vocalist, sub-rapper, visual, and Maknae. She was the fourth member to be revealed. She was a participant in ‘Producer 48’.
