The release date of the brand new Turkish series, Erkeğe Güven Olmaz (EGO) episode 2 is out. The series has successfully attracted the Turkish audience through its engaging storyline. The first episode of Erkeğe Güven Olmaz (EGO) premiered on February 5, 2023. The episode duration might have been very long but it kept the audience glued to the screen with various incidents happening one after the other.

The first scene of episode 1 opens in a hotel room where Erhan enters after Sibel opens the door for him. Elif appears to be there in the room already. Erhan and Elif are presented with an offer by Sibel that will help them out of their financial crisis. Erhan is required to spend three days in her room and follow her instructions in exchange for her offering to provide him three million Turkish lire (Turkish currency). The proposal astounds the couple. Sibel gives them an hour to consider the offer.

Erkeğe Güven Olmaz (EGO) Episode 1 Recap
The very next scene takes us four days before the above-mentioned scene. Elif, a kindergarten teacher as well as Erhan’s fiancée, is seen playing with the kids when Erhan comes to pick her up riding an expensive car. When Elif enquires about its source, Erhan responds that he rented it for the time being but plans to purchase a better car in the future because of investments he has made with skyrocketing returns.
Next, Sibel is seen consulting her doctor friend, Melis, who tells her that Sibel’s cysts in her uterus are growing faster than expected, and an operation is required soon. But post-operation, she won’t be able to bear a child. This shocks Sibel. Erhan takes Elif to show her a new apartment which he recently bought for them as a surprise, which delights her. Next, Erhan returns to his office to attend a meeting where Sibel is seen to be his boss, and they have a biff over their company issues.
In the evening, Erhan, Elif, her father, and her brother comes for dinner at a fine dining restaurant, where Erhan and Elif break the news of the new apartment to Elif’s father and brother. Erhan further surprises everyone, including Elif, by announcing that he has set a date for their wedding that is precisely three months from now, along with the venue. Everyone is delighted to hear it.
On the other hand, Sibel goes to her house to meet her parents. Sibel sits for dinner with her parents and her brother, Tuncay, and his family. They argue over marriages and children while eating.
The next morning, Sibel is seen to be disturbed over the thought of her not being able to bear a child after her operation. We also get to know that Sibel’s parents are trying to get her married off to a man named Zafer. But it does not interest her.
Meanwhile, at the office, Erhan gets to know from his colleague, Samet, the stocks in which they invested 3 million have crashed, and they have gone bankrupt. On hearing it, Erhan is devastated as he kept Elif’s father’s house as a mortgage to buy the stocks.
At the car parking basement, Sibel sees Erhan taking out his frustration and seems concerned about him. Erhan hides his loss from Elif and her family as he doesn’t want Elif’s expectations to shatter. In the between, we get to know that Tuncay, Sibel’s brother, is having an extramarital affair with Nihan as he speaks to her over the phone when she asks him to meet in Antalya.
Later, Sibel meets Zafer, the guy her father wants her to marry, after her father’s insistence. Zafer gives the idea of a fictitious marriage for the sake of their families, and even if they have children, they can hand him/her to a nanny and get divorced. She doesn’t like the idea. Still plays along with him. On the other side, Erhan gets an invitation to the opening of Sibel’s new brand in Antalya. He decides to take Elif with him.
At the hotel in Antalya, where the brand launch is taking place, Sibel gets to know about Erhan’s relationship with Elif, which shocks her as she is seen to be attracted to him.
Later we see Tuncay reaching Antalya to meet Nihan at a bar, where he first met her. There, he gets to know that she has been diagnosed with last-stage cancer. Hearing it, he rushes to meet Nihan at her place and gets introduced to his son. As she is dying, Nihan requests Tuncay to take care of Berkay, their son. On her request, Tuncay leaves with Berkay.
At the hotel, Zafer suddenly arrives drunk in front of Sibel and starts misbehaving with her when Erhan sees them and stops him. He throws him out of the hotel, which impresses Sibel. The following morning, while trying on jewelry at a luxury shop, Erhan offers to buy a necklace for Elif when Sibel appears to ask the salesman to charge the purchase to her account. The couple reluctantly agrees to it.
At the evening party, Sibel hears Erhan talking over the phone with Semet, when she comes to know about Erhan’s financial crisis. Later, when Elif and Erhan are seen talking, Sibel interrupts them and apologizes for his loss of 3 million and leaves without knowing that Elif didn’t know about it.
Hearing this, Elif asks Erhan about it and gets to know the whole truth, which shocks and hurts Elif. Elif leaves Erhan at the party and stands on a dock along the seashore. She breaks down and jumps into the sea as she reflects on the loss. Sibel spots her at that exact time and saves her. After that, Sibel takes her to her room and assures her that everything would be alright, and just then, the room bell rings.
The episode ends with the opening scene of the episode, in which Erhan and Elif are given an hour to decide on Sibel’s 3 million dollar offer.
