EA Sports FC 27 has sold approximately 6.5 million copies in under two weeks since its Early Access launch, according to estimates from Alinea Analytics. The latest figures highlight the continued strength of EA’s football franchise, particularly on consoles, where the series traditionally attracts its largest audience.
The game generated approximately $20.7 million through Steam sales during September, although its PC performance represents only a small portion of its broader commercial performance. Across consoles alone, FC 27 has already generated more than $500 million, including approximately $410 million on PlayStation and $85 million on Xbox.
That disparity shows just how heavily EA Sports FC 27 continues to rely on the console market. While Steam remains an important platform for the series, PlayStation and Xbox players make up the vast majority of its early commercial performance.
FC 27 Is Performing Better on Consoles Than FC 26
The early console numbers are also encouraging when compared with the previous entry. FC 27 is reportedly trending ahead of FC 26 on consoles at the same point after launch.
One factor behind that performance could be the increased global attention surrounding football following the summer’s 2026 FIFA World Cup. The tournament also helped fuel interest in football in the United States, a market where the sport has continued expanding its audience.
Despite its enormous console performance, FC 27 generated slightly less Steam revenue than FC 26 did at the equivalent point after launch. The difference comes as the PC market faces increasingly strong competition from other major releases during a particularly busy period for Steam.

The scale of the launch becomes even clearer when compared with other major annual sports releases. According to Alinea’s estimates, EA Sports FC 27 has already sold more copies than the 2026 NBA and Madden games combined, despite having been available for less than two weeks.
The franchise’s ability to maintain such a large annual audience remains one of EA’s biggest advantages in the sports market. FC 27 also benefits from its position as the world’s most commercially significant football video game series, giving it a huge international player base that extends far beyond North America.
Steam’s September performance also provides useful context. Valve’s platform generated approximately $1.7 billion during the month, its best September ever, with FC 27 ranking among the month’s highest-grossing premium releases. However, its $20.7 million Steam revenue pales in comparison with the more than $500 million already generated through consoles.
With 6.5 million copies sold in under two weeks and more than $500 million in console revenue, EA Sports FC 27 has established an exceptionally strong launch. Its performance over the coming months will determine whether the game can maintain its early advantage over FC 26 through the rest of its annual sales cycle.
