Dune: Awakening is bringing Arrakis to PlayStation 5 with dedicated graphics options, including a 60 FPS Performance Mode on both PS5 and PS5 Pro. However, the more powerful PS5 Pro will achieve that frame rate without frame generation, according to Funcom.

The game launches for PlayStation 5 on September 22, 2026, following its earlier PC release. The official PlayStation Store also lists Dune: Awakening as PS5 Pro Enhanced.

Funcom confirmed the technical details through Nexon’s official PlayStation Gameplay video, explaining that Performance Mode on the standard PS5 will target 60 FPS with frame generation. PS5 Pro players will get 60 FPS without frame generation, while Quality Mode will run at 30 FPS on both consoles.

Both modes will use upscaled 4K resolution, although Funcom has not yet revealed the native resolutions. The developer also confirmed that the console version will include the PC release’s updates and improvements, alongside a full single-player mode and scalable difficulty options.

Dune: Awakening will let players experience Arrakis alone, with friends on private servers, or alongside other players online.
