Just like most of the characters in the show South Park, Kenny’s character is also based on a real-life character, Trey Parker’s Childhood friend, whose name is also Kenny. Parker, in an interview in 2000, confessed the truths behind Kenny’s real-life character as he said that the kid Kenny was the poorest in their neighborhood.
The real-life Kenny used to wear an orange parka, so whatever he said was difficult for anyone to understand because of the parka. Parker also mentioned that in real life, Kenny would often not come to school, which made others mock him for being dead. After a few days, he would come to school and attend classes again.
