In this blog, we will talk about everything about Patch 2.4 in detail. Diablo II Resurrected is an action-adventure role-playing hack-and-slash video game launched in 2021. The game is co-developed by Vicarious Visions and Blizzard Entertainment and released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and Nintendo Switch. The game is a remaster of the original Diablo II, which launched in 2000.

Diablo II Resurrected follows an unnamed hero in his attempt to prevent and stop the destruction of Diablo after his return. The game has five acts, which feature a variety of locations and has seven different classes, which include Amazon, Assassin, Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Paladin, and Sorceress. Diablo II Resurrected launched with its Expansion pack called Lord of Destruction. Upon its release, Diablo II Resurrected, received positive and favorable reviews from fans and critics alike. The game is also a commercial success.

What will the new patch contain for Diablo II Resurrected? The patch has come with a huge list of changes for the game. 

Gameplay Changes

  • During the character’s pre-cast animation, their hit block will not apply.

  • The dual-wielding weapons will not have any different attack speeds
  • The hit recovery of a character will diminish while getting by another player.

Class Changes

The latest patch 2.4 includes class changes for Diablo II Resurrected. All the classes have received some changes.

Amazon

The Amazon class have received changes in the following:

Javelin and Spear Skills

  • Impale – With the new patch, Impale has got some buff where it will be an uninterruptible attack, will always hit the target, and will slow down the target.
  • Fend – Buff in attack speed of Fend by 100 percent
  • Power Strike – Lightning fury’s synergy removed, Synergy for Lightning Bolt will increase from 10 percent to 14 percent, Synergy for Charged Strike will increase from 10 percent to 14 percent, Synergy for Lightning Strike will increase from 10 percent to 14 percent.

  • Charged Strike – Lightning fury’s synergy removed, Synergy for Lightning Bolt will increase from 10 percent to 14 percent, Synergy for Charged Strike will increase from 10 percent to 14 percent, Synergy for Lightning Strike will increase from 10 percent to 14 percent.
  • Lightning Strike –  Lightning fury’s synergy removed, Synergy for Lightning Bolt will increase from 8 percent to 11 percent, Synergy for Charged Strike will increase from 8 percent to 11 percent, Synergy for Lightning Strike will increase from 8 percent to 11 percent.
  • Poison Javelin – At a high level, Poison Javelin’s scaling will have adjustment with patch 2.4.
  • Plague Javelin – Casting delay will reduce to one second, synergy with Poison Javelin will increase to 14 percent, duration of the poison will be at three seconds.

Passive And Magic Skills

  • Inner Sight – Inner Sight skill radius will increase by 35 percent.
  • Slow Missiles – Slow Missile skill radius will increase by 35 percent, the missile’s Slow skill will scale and reduce the missile damage of the enemy, which will be based on skill level.
  • Valkyrie – Casting Delay will reduce to 0.6 seconds.
  • Dodge – The dodge animation will now interrupt.
  • Avoid – The dodge animation will now interrupt.

Bow And Crossbow Skills

  • Freezing Arrow – Mana cost will reduce to +0.25 per level.
  • Magic Arrow – At base level and per level, the amount of physical damage converting into magic damage will increase 
  • Guided Arrow – At every level increase, the damage bonus will increase to +seven percent.
  • Strafe – Patch 2.4 will remove the 25 percent damage reduction skill, and the attack range will increase to +30 percent in baseline and +nine percent per level.
  • Fire Arrow – No increase in mana cost at any level.
  • Exploding Arrow – At higher skill levels, the damage scaling will increase by about 50 percent, Synergy with fire arrow will increase to +14 percent, Mana cost will reduce in per level increase to +0.25 percent. 
  • Immolation Arrow – The average fire damage per second scaling will increase by 100 percent, Mana cost will reduce to +0.25 percent per level.

Assassin

The Assassin class has received changes in the following:

Martial Arts

  • Fist of Fire – The rating of attack bonus will increase to 25 percent at baseline level and to +10 percent per levels.
  • Claws of Thunder – The rating of attack bonus will increase to 25 percent at baseline level and to +10 percent per level.
  • Blades of Ice – The rating of attack bonus will increase to 25 percent at baseline level and to +10 percent per level.
Diablo II Resurrected Assassin Class
  • Tiger Strike – The rating of attack bonus will increase to 25 percent at baseline level and to +10 percent per level.
  • Phoenix Strike –  The rating of attack bonus will increase to 25 percent at baseline level and to +10 percent per level.
  • Dragon Talon – Will only consume one martial arts charge and will always hit the target.
  • Dragon Claw – Will only consume one martial arts charge and will always hit the target. The damage bonus will increase to 15 percent per level.
  • Dragon Tail – Will only consume one martial arts charge and will always hit the target. The damage bonus will increase to 20 percent per level.
  • Dragon Flight – Will only consume one martial arts charge and will always hit the target. The damage bonus will increase to 35 percent per level.

Shadow Discipline

  • Venom – The duration of Buff scaling will change to 12 seconds per level.
  • Shadow Warrior – Casting delay will reduce to 0.6 seconds
  • Shadow Master – Casting delay will reduce to 0.6 seconds

Traps

  • Shock Web – The death sentry will not be in the game from patch 2.4 onwards. Charged Bolt and Lightning Sentry synergy will increase to 17 percent.
  • Charged Bolt Sentry – The death sentry will not be in the game from patch 2.4 onwards. Fire Blast and Lightning Sentry synergy will increase to nine percent.
  • Lightning Sentry – The death sentry will not be in the game from patch 2.4 onwards. Shock Web and Charged Bolt synergy will increase to 18 percent.
  • Fire Blast – The death sentry will not be in the game from patch 2.4 onwards. Shock Web, Charged Bolt, Wake of Fire, Lightning Sentry, and Wake of Inferno synergy will increase to 11 percent. 
  • Wake of Fire – Wake of Inferno and Fire Blast synergy will increase to 10 percent.
  • Wake of Inferno – Wake of Fire and Fire Blast synergy will increase to 18 percent.
  • Blade Sentinel – Casting delay will reduce to one second. Missile speed will increase to 20 percent. Weapon damage will increase to 75 percent. The Blade Fury and Blade Shield synergy will be added at 10 percent per level.
  • Blade Fury – Blade sentinel and Blade Fury sentry will be added at 10 percent per level.

Druid

The Druid class have received changes in the following:

Elemental Skills

  • Molten Boulder – Missile speed increase to 100 percent. Casting delay will reduce to one second. Volcano synergy will increase to 12 percent.
  • Volcano – Molten Boulder synergy will increase to 16 percent.
  • Armageddon – The casting delay will not be from patch 2.4 onwards. The physical damage will increase. The volcano synergy will now give physical damage instead of fire damage, with increased damage to 18 percent.
Diablo II Resurrected Druid Class
  • Arctic Blast – No Synergy with Hurricane from patch 2.4 onwards. The skill is a free form from 2.4 onwards instead of locking onto one target. Base damage and level scaling will increase by 100 percent.
  • Cyclone Armor – From patch 2.4 onwards, the armor can be cast in Werewolf or Werebear form.
  • Twister – The damage scaling will increase by 50 percent. Arctic Blast synergy will come with patch 2.4 onwards with 20 percent stun duration per level.
  • Hurricane – The casting delay will not be from patch 2.4 onwards and can be cast in Werewolf or Werebear form.

Shape-Shifting Skills

  • Rabies – At per level, the attack rating will increase to +10 percent. Poison Creeper synergy will increase to 20 percent. 
  • Fury – At per level, the attack rating will increase to +10 percent.
  • Maul – At per level, the damage bonus will increase to +10 percent. At per level, the attack rating will increase to +15 percent and to +40 percent baseline.
  • Shock Wave – Maul Synergy will increase to 10 percent.
  • Fire Claws – Damage will increase by 75 percent. Fissure and Volcano synergy will remove from 2.4 onwards.

Summoning Skills

The min and max life values will always be averaged to the same from Patch 2.4 onwards for these skills: Oak Sage Heart of Wolverine, Spirits of Barbs, Summon Dire Wolf, Summon Spirit Wolf, Summon Grizzly, Poison Creeper, Carrion Vine, and Solar Creeper.

  • Oak Sage – Physical Damage Resist will increase to 25 percent in Normal difficulty, reduce to 25 percent in Nightmare difficulty and increase to 25 percent in Hell difficulty.
  • Heart of the Wolverine – Physical Damage Resist will increase to 25 percent in Normal difficulty, reduce to 25 percent in Nightmare difficulty and increase to 25 percent in Hell difficulty.
  • Spirit of Barbs – Physical Damage Resist will increase to 25 percent in Normal difficulty, reduce to 25 percent in Nightmare difficulty and increase to 25 percent in Hell difficulty. The Aura will not return the damage when hit; instead, aura will deal a flat amount of damage to Aura-effected targets.
  • Raven – The number of hits per Raven will decrease to five and will not increase at level increase. The rating of attack bonus will increase to 30 percent per level. Summon Spirit Wolf, Dire Wolf, and Grizzly synergy will add to Raven with damage at +12 percent per level. 

Summoning Skills Animals

  • Summon Dire Wolf – Damage level scaling and Base life will increase by 30 percent and 90 percent. The Life synergy will decrease to 15 percent.
  • Summon Spirit Wolf – The min and max life values will always be averaged to the same from 2.4 onwards. Damage level scaling by 10 percent. Base life will increase by 80 percent and will increase by 10 percent per level.  
  • Summon Grizzly – Base life will increase by 15 percent and will increase by 10 percent per level.  
  • Poison Creeper – Poison damage will increase. Life Scaling will increase by 100 percent. The Rabies synergy will be from 2.4 onwards and will deal +10 percent per level.
  • Carrion Vine – Life recovery rework includes +1 percent healing per level.
  • Solar Creeper – Mana recovery rework includes +1 percent Mana per level and +3 percent baseline.

Barbarian

The Barbarian class have received changes in the following:

Warcries

  • War Cry – Damage will increase by 30 percent.
  • Shout – The baseline damage will increase to 30 seconds.
Diablo II Resurrected Barbarian Class
  • Battle Command – The baseline damage will increase to 30 seconds.
  • Grim Ward – The baseline will increase. The skill will slow down enemies and increase the damage taken for nearby enemies. The find potion synergy added to +five damage per level.

Combat Masteries

  • Throwing Mastery – The chance of piercing will come with patch 2.4 onwards.

Combat Skills

  • Leap – Minimum distance will increase. The speed of leap motion increased by 75 percent.
  • Leap Attack –The speed of leap motion increased by 75 percent. Damage will increase to 200 percent; attack rating will increase to 100 at baseline and to 20 percent per level. The leap synergy will increase to 15 percent damage per level.
  • Berserk – The battle orders will replace Shout synergy. 
  • Double Throw – Baseline and per level damage bonus increase to 16 percent and 8 percent.
  • Frenzy – Stamina synergy will come from 2.4 onwards at 0.4 seconds per level.

Necromancer

The Necromancer class has received changes in the following:

Summoning Skills

  • Raise Skeletal Mage – The per level HP percent will increase to 10 percent. The poison will last only four seconds, and its damage scaling will increase by 750 percent. Cold and Lightning Damage will increase by 50 percent and 5 percent.
Diablo II Resurrected Necromancer Class
  • Blood Golem – Max Life per level will be gained, and damage scaling will also increase.
  • Iron Golem – The Thorns will not return the damage when hit. Instead, thorns will deal a flat amount of damage to Aura-effected targets.
  • Fire Golem – Holy fire bonus level will increase to 2 per level

Poison and Bone skill

  • Bone Armor – The damage absorption will increase to 15 per level.
  • Bone Spear and Spirit – Teeth, Bone, Bone Spear, and Bone Prison synergy will increase to 8 percent.

Curses

  • Weaken – Damage reduction will now scale to 33 percent and +1 percent per level.

Paladin

The Paladin class has received changes in the following:

Offensive Auras

  • Holy Fire – The area damage will work on the distance of the enemy. The damage will be from 100 percent to 200 percent based on the closest to the furthest distance to the caster. Damage level scaling will increase by 90 percent. Resist Fire and Salvation synergy to 24 percent and 10 percent.
  • Holy Freeze – The area damage will work on the distance of the enemy. The damage will be from 100 percent to 200 percent based on the closest to the furthest distance to the caster. 
Diablo II Resurrected Paladin Class

 

  • Holy Shock – The area damage will work on the distance of the enemy. The damage will be from 100 percent to 200 percent based on the closest to the furthest distance to the caster. 
  • Thorns –The Thorns will not return the damage when hit. Instead, thorns will deal a flat amount of damage to Aura-effected targets.
  • Sanctuary –  The area damage will work on the distance of the enemy. The damage will be from 100 percent to 200 percent based on the closest to the furthest distance to the caster.

Combat Skills

  • Sacrifice – Self-damage will decrease per level 8 percent-1 percent.
  • Holy Bolt –  Blessed Hammer synergy will be removed from 2.4 onwards. Holy Bolt will pierce the target. Damage will increase by 50 percent.
  • Fist of Heavens – Casting delay will reduce to 0.4 percent.

Sorceress

The Sorceress class has received changes in the following.

Cold Skills

  • Frost Nova – Damage level scaling will increase by 25 percent.
  • Frozen Armor – Duration at a base level will increase to 144 seconds.
Diablo II Resurrected Sorceress Class
  • Shiver Armor – Damage level scaling will increase by 25 percent. Duration at a base level will increase to 144 seconds.
  • Chilling Armor –  Damage level scaling will increase by 200 percent. Duration at a base level will increase to 144 seconds.

Lightning Skills

  • Nova – Static Field synergy will come with +5 percent Lightning damage per level.
  • Thunder Storm – Static Field synergy will come with +5 percent Lightning damage per level. Duration at a base level will increase to 144 seconds.

Fire Skills

  • Inferno –  Warmth synergy will increase to 16 percent. Damage and level scaling will increase by 75 percent. Mana cost at the baseline level will decrease to 4 mana per second. 
  • Blaze – Damage scaling will increase by 60 percent. Warmth synergy will increase to 6 percent. Fire synergy will not be in Blaze skill from patch 2.4 onwards.
  • Hydra – Cast delay will be removed. The Fire Bolt and Fire Ball synergy will increase to +five percent. 

Other Changes

The other changes coming with Patch 2.4 are Mercenary changes, rune changes, recipes changes, level changes, and some set item bonus changes.

The mercenary changes will include the changes where the players will receive the mercenary based on their characters level.

The runes have got some new words.

  • Plague – will work with Swords.
  • Pattern – will work with Claws.
  • Unbending Will – will work with Swords.
  • Wisdom – will work with Helm.
  • Obsession – will work with Staff.
  • Flickering Flame – will work with Helm.
  • Mist – will work with Bow and Crossbow

Diablo II Resurrected Patch 2.4 Release Date

Diablo II Resurrected Patch 2.4 is scheduled to release on 25 January 2022. The release for the patch is only for PC and is a PTR or a Public Test Realm, and developers have not said anything about the release of console versions.

Activision-Blizzard has not said anything about the official release for the main client of the Diablo II Resurrected. We will update everyone once the devs drop anything for the game.
