Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is currently unfolding its fourth season, and the short season has been consistently impressive.
With a number of episodes already released, the anime has once again focused all attention on Tanjiro as he gears up for his confrontation with Muzan.
The Hashira Training arc is pushing all our favorite characters to their limits, and this week, the anime featured an original battle involving the Mist Hashira and two other Hashira.
Demon Slayer Season 4 Brings Exclusive Hashira Battle
As highlighted below, Ufotable brought this entire sequence to life in the latest episode of Demon Slayer. The episode checked in on Sanemi, the Wind Hashira, as he began a one-on-one training session with Obanai.
The Serpent Hashira has proven to be a formidable challenge for Sanemi, and upon hearing about the battle, Muichiro arrives.
Although the battle is purely for training purposes, the three Hashira engage in a fierce fight, and the original showdown is nothing short of spectacular.
Obanai and Sanemi decide to team up against Muichiro, but even with their combined efforts, they did not anticipate the Mist Hashira’s incredible speed. Following his victory over an Upper Moon, Muichiro is faster than ever, and he continues to grow even swifter.
This original Hashira battle might seem minor to some fans, but as an addition to the Demon Slayer manga, it enriches the portrayal of the Hashira.
The current arc of the anime is relatively short in the manga, leading many fans to worry that the pacing of the Hashira Training arc might feel rushed.
Fortunately, Ufotable has created some exceptional original content to expand the arc as Tanjiro continues his training. This week’s episode prominently showcased Muichiro’s enhanced abilities.
Additionally, it has been announced that Demon Slayer star Kenichi Suzumura is beginning a hiatus due to health issues.
