Hulu and Disney+’s popular comedy series Deli Boys tells the story of Mir Dar (Asif Ali) and Raj Dar (Saagar Shaikh), two brothers who suddenly inherit their father’s hidden criminal empire.
Their father, Baba Dar (Iqbal Theba), appeared to be a successful businessman, but his company, DarCo, secretly ran a large drug operation. His deli store was actually a front for smuggling cocaine inside jars of achar (pickled mango).
Throughout the season, Mir and Raj struggle to keep the business running. They lack experience in the criminal world, which leads to many problems. However, they receive help from their father’s business partner, Ahmad Uncle (Brian George), and a powerful woman named Lucky Aunty (Poorna Jagannathan). The season finale brings major surprises as the brothers learn shocking truths about their father’s death.
As the FBI gets closer to catching them, Mir and Raj try to outsmart law enforcement while dealing with dangerous enemies. The season ends with unexpected twists that will set the stage for Season 2.

FBI Closes in on the Dar Brothers
In Episode 8, titled Sweaty Boys, the FBI tightens its grip on the Dar brothers. Agent Mercer (Alexandra Ruddy) and Director Simpson (Tim Baltz) begin collecting evidence to take down DarCo. They manage to seize small amounts of cocaine that link back to the business. This puts Mir and Raj under pressure, as they risk being caught at any moment.
Mir, who is desperate to save the business, comes up with a risky plan. He seeks help from Prairie (Alfie Fuller), Raj’s girlfriend and a shaman, to mislead the FBI. His idea works, and they successfully move their drugs without getting caught. However, Lucky Aunty sees Prairie as a threat and decides to have her eliminated. She hires an assassin to take her out, but Raj saves Prairie just in time.
Meanwhile, the brothers are also struggling to deal with their business debts. They owe money to a group of Peruvian drug dealers, who expect payment soon. To solve this problem, they plan to pay the Peruvians at a wedding celebration. However, things do not go smoothly, and new challenges emerge, leading to more chaos.
Lucky Aunty Uncovers a Shocking Secret
In Episode 9, Shaadi Boys (which means “Wedding Boys” in Urdu), Lucky Aunty finds herself in trouble. Mir and Raj confront her for betraying them and demand that she return the money she used to hire the assassin. Feeling humiliated, she meets the hitman to get the money back.
During this meeting, Lucky Aunty notices something strange. The assassin’s colleague is an expert golfer with incredible precision. This reminds her of Baba Dar’s so-called “accidental” death on a golf course. She realizes that the same man might have been hired to kill him.

Lucky Aunty starts asking questions and learns that the killer has a unique genetic condition—mid-digital hair, which causes excessive hair growth on the knuckles. However, she does not uncover the full identity of the person who ordered the murder. This mystery remains unsolved, adding another layer of suspense to the story.
While Lucky Aunty is busy investigating, Mir is trying to buy more time from the Peruvian drug lords. However, the Peruvians are losing patience and send a hitman named Chacho (Guillermo Diaz) to send a warning. When one of DarCo’s gang members is murdered, the FBI arrives at the wedding venue, making things even more complicated.
With federal agents watching their every move, Mir and Raj must find a way to complete the drug deal without being caught. Mir comes up with a clever idea—he uses a Trojan horse trick to hide the drugs. This allows them to successfully transport the cocaine right under the FBI’s nose.
The Truth Behind Baba Dar’s Death
Lucky Aunty begins to suspect that Chickie Lozano (Kevin Corrigan), an Italian business partner, might be behind Baba Dar’s murder. She shares her suspicion with Baba Dar’s trusted personal assistant, Matthew (Jake Prizant). However, when Ahmad Uncle hears about this, he tries to kill Chickie in a bathroom.
During the struggle, Matthew overhears Ahmad confessing that he was the mastermind behind Baba Dar’s murder. Ahmad had always wanted to take over the business, and he saw Baba Dar’s death as his opportunity. He carefully planned the murder to make it look like an accident.
Just as Ahmad’s secret is revealed, he shoots both Matthew and Chickie to cover his tracks. Mir, Raj, and Lucky Aunty soon find out the truth, but Ahmad manages to escape before they can stop him.
Meanwhile, the FBI makes a crucial mistake. Director Simpson and Agent Mercer enter the wedding venue without a warrant, hoping to find solid proof against the Dar brothers. This backfires on them when Chickie, still barely alive, crawls out of the bathroom and exposes Ahmad’s crimes.
However, before the agents can react, other FBI officers arrive and arrest them. Since they illegally entered the scene and were the only ones with weapons near a dead body, they become the main suspects in Chickie’s murder. In the confusion, Ahmad slips away and disappears, setting the stage for another thrilling storyline in the next season.
Mir and Raj Discover Their True Roles
As the season reaches its climax, more personal changes take place in the Dar brothers’ lives. Mir’s focus on running the business has created problems in his relationship. His fiancée, Bushra (Zainne Saleh), initially enjoyed the benefits of his wealth.
However, she cannot accept that Mir is now a full-fledged gangster. She decides to leave him, but instead of stopping her, Mir accepts her decision. He understands that being in this business comes with sacrifices, and he is ready to embrace his role as a crime boss.
Raj, on the other hand, realizes that he is not suited for the drug business. He may enjoy luxury, but he lacks the mindset needed to run an empire. However, he acknowledges that Mir has the intelligence and ambition to lead DarCo. This is a turning point for Raj, as he finally understands his place in the family.
To support Mir, Raj agrees to marry Nandika (Amita Rao), a woman he was supposed to marry as part of a deal. Even though he still loves Prairie, he recognizes that this marriage will help their business. He finds some common ground with Nandika and goes through with the wedding.
Despite planning to leave the business, Raj changes his mind after learning about Ahmad’s betrayal. Instead of walking away, he vows to hunt down Ahmad and make him pay for their father’s murder. This sets up an exciting plot for Season 2, as Raj’s revenge mission will likely play a major role.
A Shocking Explosion Changes Everything
One week after the wedding, Lucky Aunty takes control of Chickie’s former business. She meets his former employee, Nick (John Fiorentino), who tries to claim power. However, she quickly eliminates him and secures her place in the criminal world.
Meanwhile, Mir and Raj make peace with the Peruvians, who are impressed by their new cocaine formula. Business is booming, but not everything is going well. Raj remains determined to find Ahmad, who is still missing.
Just as things seem stable, a final twist shakes everything. As Mir and Raj walk down the street, their deli store, A.B.C. Deli, suddenly explodes behind them. The season ends with this shocking moment, leaving many questions unanswered.
Who was behind the explosion? Could it be Ahmad seeking revenge? Or is there a new enemy entering the scene? Season 1 has already shown how dangerous the drug business can be, and Season 2 will likely bring even bigger challenges for the Dar brothers.
