Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is Infinity Ward’s 2019 reboot of the iconic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The game reimagines the series’ modern military setting through a grounded campaign focused on Captain Price, CIA officer Kate Laswell and a fictional conflict in the Middle East. Alongside its cinematic single-player campaign, the game features competitive multiplayer and introduced Special Ops missions. Its realistic presentation, cross-platform multiplayer and more tactical approach to combat helped establish the foundation for the modern Call of Duty ecosystem.
