FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit has not left. Instead, it is coming for your guys again very soon. Yes, you caught it right Criminal Minds: Evolution is coming with Season 2, and what more happy news could be than this? However, in this article, you will learn about the potential release date of Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2 and everything we know so far.
Created by Jeff Davis and written by Erica Messer, Criminal Minds: Evolution follows the FBO group, which aims to burst and expose a dangerous serial killer network through the show. The show is filled with so much mystery, drama, suspense, and all the elements which make the series a worth-watch.
However, in Season 2, there is going to be a plus-one drama with more intensity than in the previous season. Voit will have a major part in the new season, while we will also get to witness some relationship and love kind of drama. And, where comes a love angle, there comes a lot of drama with it, and we do not doubt that.
We expect the mystery might get unfold to some extent, and we would not be hanging on a cliffhanger all over again. So, without any more ado, let us check out the expected release date and cast for Criminal Minds: Evolution.
Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2 Cast
In this reboot series of the 2005 drama Criminal Minds, we saw many original characters reprising their roles. However, we did miss many of our favorite characters as well. As per the reports, some of the actors were missing due to their clashes with some prior commitments, and as a result, they could not make it.
However, Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2 will also have our best cast members from Season 1, and this is by far the best news for the renewed series. We will once again see Joe Mantegna as Senior Agent David Rossi, Aisha Tyler as Dr. Tara Lewis, Kirsten Vangsness as Technical Analyst Penelope Garcia, A.J. Cook as Agent JJ Jareau, Adam Rodriguez as Luke Alvez, and Paget Brewster as Unit Chief Emily Prentiss in the lead roles.
However, some actors like Nicholas D’Agosto, who played Deputy Director Doug Bailey, died in the previous season, but we may still see him in flashbacks. The makers wanted all the original cast members to appear in the series, but it seems like we won’t be seeing them this season as well though we expect the best.
Also, there are chances of many new faces joining the series. However, we have not gotten any official news on that, but we shall update the space as soon as possible. You can check out Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2’s release date in the next section.
Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2 Potential Release Date
Talking about the release date of “Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2,” the news is that it has not been announced yet. But fans need not worry; you can anyways expect the season to come out anytime in late 2023 or early 2024 since the show is about to begin its production in April 2023. Thus, we cannot predict any specific release date for it as of now.
Because even if the production starts by April 2023, it will take a minimum of four months after that for the series to commence. Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 1 began its shooting in August 2022, and the premiere episode got released in 2022 on Paramount+ as they were still shooting the latter half of the season during the run of the show.
We also feel that viewers of the show will not have to wait a lot for the new season. Also, if you have not watched the episodes of Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 1, they are still available on Paramount+; you can catch them there. Season 2 is also expected to have ten episodes only, just like Season 1.
Thus, this was everything we knew about the potential release date of Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2. However, you all will be updated for every small detail of the show here, so keep checking back. Happy streaming
