Yes, sometimes circumstances lead you to the edge of a cliff but even then holding on to dear life or jumping off it willingly are completely two different choices.
Furthermore, it also confirmed the suspicion of Oh Se Gi being the traitor. It left Noh in a position where he can’t use his harsh methods for taking care of Oh Se Gi, for he had been there with him when he had nothing at all.
