Chucky is one of the most famous horror characters. The killer doll has been scaring people since 1988’s Child’s Play. Over the past 35 years, Chucky has had many sequels, his own TV show, and a lot of merchandise.
Fans are waiting to hear about Chucky’s TV future, and now Mezco Toyz has introduced a new Chucky figure based on his look from 1991’s Child’s Play 3.
This new Chucky figure is part of Mezco’s MDS Mega Scale series and is called “Pizza Face Chucky.” It stands 15 inches tall and shows Chucky as he appeared in the last part of Child’s Play 3.
The figure has 11 points of movement, realistic glass eyes, and comes with Chucky’s signature Good Guy overalls and a handgun. The Pizza Face head sculpt is new for this figure. The best feature is that the figure can talk. It says famous lines from the series like, “Hi, I’m Chucky, and I’m your friend till the end!”
What’s ‘Child’s Play 3’ About?
Child’s Play 3 was an important change for the Chucky series. It is still a slasher film, but the story is set years after Child’s Play 2. Andy, now a teenager at military school, faces Chucky again as the doll comes back for revenge. In the larger Chucky series, Child’s Play 3 is often seen as the least memorable film.
It repeats many ideas from the first two movies. However, it has value, especially in the final part with Chucky’s popular Pizza Face design. Due to the film’s mixed reviews, Chucky took a seven-year break before returning in 1998’s Bride of Chucky.
This film reinvented the series as a horror comedy and introduced Tiffany Valentine. After four more sequels, Chucky has found new success on TV with his show on Syfy. The third season ended last spring, and fans are eagerly waiting for news about a new season.
