However, due to unavoidable circumstances, he tried to escape from the Alliance and gain his freedom. Unfortunately, Chun Hajin dies in an attempt to escape but is given a second chance at living. He is reincarnated in the body of the Third Young Lord of the Demonic Faction, the nemesis of the Heavenly Alliance.
The Demonic cult is an immortal faction known to adhere staunchly to its principles. The manhwa traces Chun Hajin’s journey, now in the body of the third Young Master of the Demonic Cult, as he tries to conquer Murim again.

Chronicles Of The Demon Faction Chapter 10: Recap
Chun Hajin was sent to the sacred bamboo grove under the order of Lee Cheongsan. Thanks to his Boundless Technique, he was able to recover while facing danger in the bamboo forest. He is also able to fly, which means he got back two of his martial prowess back, the Boundless technique and the Six Power technique, to enhance his senses.
The only power left to be regained was the Dark Shadow Qi, an amalgamated technique of hidden skills created by the Great Ten Sects. He is happy to retain his abilities because, with these, he can grow stronger in no time.
He realizes that the Dark Qi cannot be used as he was now possessing the body of Lord Seoryang, who was originally practicing a Demonic skill. He asks his attendant about the powers of the siblings, but he is surprised and confused at the question asked by the Young Master.
Chun Hajin learns that if he does not learn a Demonic ability, the Demon King will be very displeased. He asks Dongpil to go to the library and gather all the books on the subject of Demonic Arts. At the library, Dongpil asks the Master whether the Third Young Lord has lost his memories after suffering a Qi Blockage.
The Master himself did not know whether that was the case. The young lord had always been talented, but he was greedy and arrogant. But ever since his recovery, he seemed to have become a different person altogether. The Master is, of course, concerned about the situation because the servants had also reported the same thing.
The master hands over a key to Dongpil, who was assigned the task of protecting the Third Lord. The key gave him access to get the sacred demon texts, but Dongpil had to mix them with other texts to avoid suspicion. He also asks Dongpil if he had given the Young Lord the explanation for being sent to the bamboo grove, to which Dongpil says no.
The bamboo grove, the demonic forest, existed before the Heavenly Demon Divine cult settled on the Hundred Thousand Mountains. The Bamboo forest helped the First Heavenly Demon cult become one of the greatest sects ever. It provides the greatest of powers to the ones who deserve it but kills others without remorse who do not deserve it.
Dongpil got 17 books for Chun Hajin to read and understand the Demonic Arts. Out of the 17 texts, three had to be sent back within three texts because those are sacred to their school of arts. The Ten Great Demonic Arts, once successfully learned, will make anyone become extremely strong. Chun Hajin tells Dongpil to help him ‘relearn’ the Demonic abilities because he forgot them after suffering a Qi blockage.
Dongpil had to protect the Young lord, and he was sensing some disturbances in the bamboo grove forest. He must keep the Lord safe while he concentrates on reading the sacred texts.
