The Hallmark channel is known for making PG-13 romantic movies in picturesque backdrops. However, the one time of year their movies are truly appreciated is during Christmas time when they release their movies. Almost everyone loves a good relaxing Hallmark Christmas movie to get them in the holiday spirit. One such Hallmark movie is Christmas Under Wraps, which premiered on November 29th, 2014. The movie follows an ambitious doctor after she unexpectedly moves to Alaska, where she starts a new romance and learns that her small town is hiding a holiday secret. And of course, the movie is shot in a beautiful location. In this article, we will talk about Christmas Under Wraps filming locations.
The film is directed by Peter Sullivan and written by Jeffery Schenck, Peter Sullivan, and George Erschbamer. The movie stars Candace Cameron Bure, David O’Donnell, and Robert Pine, as Dr. Lauren Brunell, Andy Holliday, and Henry Brunell. The movie is very pleasing to watch because of its breathtaking location.
Christmas Under Wrap’s storyline revolves around Dr. Lauren Brunell, an aspiring surgeon who takes a temporary position working as a GP in a small Alaskan town in an effort to boost her resume when she is turned down for a fellowship. Our resident doctor accepts an offer to practice in Garland, Alaska as a fill-in position until her big-city opportunity after she loses out on her dream Boston fellowship. However, she unexpectedly falls in love with handyman Andy Holliday and grows fond of the quaint town and its inhabitants, including Andy’s jovial father, Frank. Now, the question remains whether she will follow her life plan to Boston, or will she listen to her heart and stay? I think we all know what the answer to this one is.
Christmas Under Wraps is a classic Hallmark romantic Christmas movie made with all of Hallmark’s usual ingredients. It is essentially a love story between an aspiring surgeon and a local town guy who teaches her how to enjoy the little things in life. Since the movie is made for a specific time of the year, that is the only time viewers would want to watch the movie really. Unless you are one of those people who watches Christmas movies year-round, in that case, I only have two questions: Why? and Doesn’t that make you miss Christmas? I am one of a Christmas fiend of sorts, I am one of those annoyingly happy people during Christmas time and love watching Hallmark Christmas movies when it is that time of the year.
