Evan didn’t know what was going on with his fellow disciple and why he was having such a random mood. But, Eldo soon revealed what he had learned recently that led him to feel that way and justification for his action.
When Charlotte destroyed the cataclysm, it wasn’t destroyed in its entirety and returned soon after into the world. It was because that force couldn’t be destroyed unless it was taken care of in its entirety. The force that was evil was only half of the true source of power, the other being Charlotte herself.
Charlotte wasn’t born that way but became one-half of the power due to her interaction way before it all began. And as long as Charlotte, the other part of the power will rejuvenate itself over and over no matter how many times it is defeated. And the only solution to this lies only at the hands of Charlotte who has the other half.
