The 76th episode of Catfish: The TV Show season 8 was released on 21st March 2023 and featured the story of 41-year-old Angela and her social media love, Justin. Angela reached out to the show host Nev Schulman and new guest host Shan Boodram about her concern that she met a man two months ago and when she asked him to meet, he refused.
Angela suspected him of a Catfish and seek help from Nev and Shan. Hosts looked through the case, got details about Justin’s social media and their relationship, and started investigating his profile. Soon, they also decided to take Angela to meet Justin. After persuading so much, Justin agreed to meet in person, and when he did, the reality was shocking.
Shan, Nev, and Angela reached the place where Justin agreed to meet Angela for the first time. However, he did not show up but he sent Nev a video message instead, saying that he was scared to meet Angela because he was anxious. Angela wore a beautiful dress hoping that Justin would be honest with her, but Justin’s video message concerned Angela more.
Shan and Nev then discovered that Justin was near the location where they were, so they could easily track him down. Shan and Nev then went near the car and asked Justin to come out and meet Angela, however, he refused to meet because of the mental health issues he was suffering. Even though he was loyal to Angela, meeting her made him anxious and that is why he refused to meet her.
When he finally came out of the car, Angela was happy that he was the same Justin she was talking to, she hugged him and Justin confessed about his past marriage to her and how it destroyed his mental health. He also told her that he loved being friends with her but he was still on the way to figuring out what he felt for Angela.
