Fans of K-pop must have heard about or picked up in passing the name of one of the most popular reality competition show that got released in recent years. Boys Planet was a reality competition show where young talented boys were scouted and made to compete with each other to survive till the end. And the reward that pushed these young boys to do their extreme best was a confirmed spot on the boy group that would form at the end of the show with the remaining contestants.
Well, that reality show started in February 2023 and has already ended, leaving behind a total of nine young winners who got to fulfill their dream of being a K-pop idol by getting to be a part of the newly formed boy group called Zerobaseone. After months of emotional torture and physical exhaustion, not only do these nine members get to debut and live a less torturous life, their management company, Wake One, has released an official statement announcing the band’s first-ever television appearance.
Unlike other groups that are put together on a long contractual basis and last for many years, Zerobaseone will be active as a group for only two and a half years, after which the boys can part ways and decide their next step. But until that happens, the group plans on doing their best to not only better their own group’s harmony but also connect with their fans.
Camp ZeroBaseOne Episode 2: The Plot
This reality show is being released prior to any of the group’s musical releases and activities. Band members Kim Ji Woong, Zhang Hao, Sung Han Bin, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae Rae, Ricky, Kim Gyu Vin, Park Gun Wook, and Han Yu Jin will all pack their bags, get into their vans and go on a calming journey to get to know each other better and develop a healthy bond within the group.
The group will move to the countryside in South Korea, where they will spend a few days together, living like a family in the peace and quiet of the countryside. Obviously, the makers of the show will not leave the boys to their own devices but will continue to bring them a variety of games and fun challenges that the members will have to work together to solve and win.
The group will move about the village, meeting with the locals living there, and will also be visited by guests that have not been revealed yet. The show seems like a good decision as it acts like a vacation for the members, who must desperately need a rest after months of practicing and nerve-wracking reality show appearances.
