Who hasn’t heard of the Wit Studios, which produced great anime such as Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga, and much more? You must have also heard of Gen Urobuchi, the Japanese Novelist and Anime Screenwriter, who has written amazing stories such as Fate/Zero, Black Lagoon, Psycho-Pass, and a lot more. Also, Takeshi Obata, the Japanese manga artist who illustrated character designs of anime like Death Note.
Now, what if we told you that these legends are joining hands to give you another masterpiece very soon? Yes, you read right. Netflix is going to release a new anime movie: Bubble, produced by Wit Studios, a story written by Gen Urobuchi along with Naoko Sato and Renji Oki, and the character designs are illustrated by none other than Takeshi Obata. Japan is going to release ‘Bubble’ in May. But, we do not have to wait that long for this movie, as Netflix is going to release ‘Bubble’ worldwide a bit early on 28 April, 2022.
What Is ‘Bubble’ About? What Is The Story?
We all have seen how it is in space, without gravity. But have you ever imagined going to a place without gravity? Well, Bubble is going to make us feel that feeling. This story is about Tokyo which has been cut off from the rest of the world. And bubbles raining all over Tokyo break the law of gravity here. A group of reckless kids making use of a situation like this by doing parkour all around. Hibiki played by Jun Shison, is a young guy who is famous for his recklessly dangerous stunts. And one day his stunts took him right inside the sea where gravity seems to work. Struggling to break out, but couldn’t.
Here comes, Uta played by Riria, a girl with powers related to bubbles. She saves Hibiki from drowning. Soon, they find out that this is not some coincidental phenomenon. They are the only ones who can hear a unique sound. A sound with a message. Who is doing all this? That’s a mystery that needs to be found out.

Assumptions: What Is To Be Expected?
There is also a theory we can derive from the trailer we have seen. There was a moment we saw something that looked like a black hole. And, for a distant observer time moves slower near a black hole than the ones farther away from it. There was also a moment when somebody said, “Time has begun to move”. Time indeed has something to do with this movie.
Now the two statements point in only one direction. Black holes must have been opened near Tokyo, which cut Tokyo off from the rest of the world. And the law of gravity was broken as Tokyo is closer to the black holes, the time in Tokyo was moving slower than anything. “Time has begun to move” could have meant that there will come a point when the time will not always stay like this. Things will start getting sucked up inside the black holes. And the fate of Tokyo or maybe even the entire world lies in the hands of Hibiki and Uta. Will they be able to save everyone from getting sucked up inside the black holes? Will they be able to connect Tokyo back with the entire world?
Let’s find out about everything on 28 April, 2022.
