Wit Studio’s upcoming original, Bubble, has recently announced a spring release. Even before its release, fans are thrilled to see a splendid staff working on the anime. The combination of different geniuses coming together to mold this movie into something has fans convinced that the Bubble movie is going to hit huge records. There seems to be a lot of discussions around it. The plot of the anime is quite interesting and indicates a soft romance with several vibes of mystery and the supernatural. Plot

Bubble is set in Tokyo, Japan, after gravity “breaks” due to mysterious reasons. Amidst this are a boy and girl, drawn to each other making a new story. After a mysterious phenomenon, bubbles are seen defying the laws of gravity. Tokyo has become an isolated region from the rest of the world. Within Tokyo lives a group of young people who lost their families. These young people do Parkour and play around. One Hibiki, a challenging player, tries to master a move but ends up falling in the gravity-bending sea. Here, he is saved by Uta, a girl with supernatural abilities. When the duo hears a mysterious sound that only they can hear, they decide to find its source and dig deep into the mystery.

However, there are mysteries yet to discover. Who is Uta? Why did she save Hibiki? How will they change the world? Set in post-apocalyptic ruins and a world without gravity, Bubble is preparing the audience for something new, wild, and magical.

Bubble Movie Release Date

The Bubble movie was announced previously in 2021. In the most recent update, the movie announced a Netflix premiere before it was released theatrically. Bubble movie will be released on Netflix worldwide on 28 April 2022. This will be followed by a theatrical release in Japan on 13 May 2022.

A PV has also been released that has left fans mesmerized with its soothing art and animation. The PV gives us a brief look at the characters and their designs. Bubble has the potential to get into people’s hearts and move them, which makes the movie quite deserving of all the hype it is experiencing now.

Voice cast

The voice cast of Bubble introduces Jun Shison as the voice of Hibiki and Alice Hirose as the voice of Makoto. Additional cast members also include Mamoru Miyano (v.a of Light Yagami, Osamu Dazai), Yuki Kaji (v.a of Eren Yeager, Shoto Todoroki), Tasuku Hatanaka (v.a of Kamineri Denki, Yuuma Tsukumo), Sayaka Senbongi (v.a of Shuna, Arisu Kamiigusa), and Marina Inoue (v.a of Armin Arlert, Momo Yaoyorozu). Although most names of the characters are yet to be revealed, we look forward to hearing the voice actors bringing the movie to life.

Staff

One of the most unique and the most attractive part of Bubble is its staff that has fans really looking forward to the anime’s release. Tetsurou Araki (Shingeki no Kyojin, Koutetsujou no Kabaneri) is directing the anime, and Gen Urobuchi (Psycho-Pass, Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica) is compiling the anime scripts. The original character designs are done by Takeshi Obata, the illustrator of Death Note and Bakuman. Its music is composed by Hiroyuki Sawano, who also composed the theme song for 86 (Avid) and the official soundtracks of Attack on Titan. Bubble is animated by Wit Studio and produced by Netflix internationally and Warner Bros. Pictures in Japan.
