We will see what Yuri has in store for everyone as Reiji, Kazu, and Nagi are entangled in her schemes. Yuri had been the cornerstone of the mystery series for a while now, but her obsession has started to get the better of her. This means that we will be having our new villain in the series starting from Boy’s Abyss Chapter 159.
Yuri’s love from the very beginning was anything but twisted; it was hard to say why she liked Reiji. It looked as if she was obsessed with her for some reason, or perhaps it was her savior complex. Or maybe it was none of that but her desire to reclaim her lost youth through Reiji.
Whatever Yuri’s case is, one thing is clear: She has taken Yuko’s traits and is becoming the antagonist of the series. But, this time, it won’t go down the same road as Reiji has experienced going into the abyss and back. Moreover, his perspective has shifted throughout the series, but there were times when he unknowingly took on Yuko’s traits.
Spoilers
Boy’s Abyss Chapter 159 will most likely show us Nagi’s condition now that she is closed up. Yuri took Nagi to her home and locked her inside the store room, where no one but only she would go. Moreover, she also makes sure no one accidentally gets to that room, just like how Yuri stopped Reiji from getting curious.
There is also the detective who keeps tabs on everyone to ensure that the case is solved peacefully. Out of all the characters in the series, the detective is the sanest person who wants to set things straight. And the fans of the series are also putting their bets on him to give him closer to everyone’s life at this point.
The hope of setting things straight was once on the shoulders of Reiji’s teacher, Yuri, but she fell into her abyss. And now, she is at a point where she might do one thing or the other just for her desires, which makes her unpredictable and dangerous. This is why many fans are worried about what she might do to Nagi, who is staying at her place.
Recap
Boy’s Abyss Chapter 158 starts with Reiji and Kazu paying a visit to Yuri at her house. Yuri wasn’t happy to see both of them as she had been given a restraining order to stay away from Reiji at all costs. However, she let the two in and offered them a beverage for the trouble of coming to her house.
It was Kazu who wanted to meet her, as the advice he had gotten from Reiji’s former high school teacher helped him heal. Kazu was a shut-in who was choking on his lifestyle, not having any meaning to life or will to live. It was Yuri who reached out to him once she learned about Yuko’s truth and helped him to get out of the city.
However, Kazu made a mistake by coming back to the city after his search came to an end. More than anything, he was relieved to know that he and Reiji share the same blood. And if it weren’t for Yuri, this would have never happened to him, and he wouldn’t have gotten the closure that he needed.
