Paramount+ announced with great fanfare a new feature film that will captivate millennials. We’re going to talk about the upcoming Mike Judge feature film for the streaming platform. Consequentially, here’s Beavis & Butt-head do the universe release date. Moreover, if you ever saw MTV in the 1990s, you will surely remember this duo and their zany adventures.
Well, after more than 10 years, the teenage slacker duo returns for more adventures. This time Earth was just too small for Beavis & Butt-head, so Mike Judge sent them to outer space. While the plot details about the upcoming film are scarce, judging from the trailer, we’re embarking on an intergalactic adventure. So, without further ado, let’s check out what these two will bring us soon this month on Paramount+. Let’s begin!
Beavis & Butt-Head Do The Universe Release Date
Beavis & Butt-Head Do The Universe will hit the screens worldwide on June 23, 2022, via Paramount+. Since the film’s initial announcement, Paramount and Mike Judge have been remarkably quiet about additional specifics. Sure, Judge teased us with a few doodles of a middle-aged Beavis and Butt-Head and a tweet about the befuddled duo’s efforts to stay in shape.
Cast
Beavis and Butt-Head are voiced by Mike Judge, the series’ creator. Furthermore, Gary Cole, Jimmy O. Yang, Stephen Root, Chris Diamantopoulos, Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Nat Faxon, Brian Huskey, and Chi McBride appear credited as voice actors in unspecified roles.

Who Are Beavis & Butt-Head?
Beavis and Butt-Head are two American animated television characters who first appeared on MTV in 1992. Furthermore, the duo consists of Beavis, an idiotic and under-educated teenager with a penchant for pyromania, and Butt-Head, a foul-mouthed and dim-witted slacker. Also, the characters of Beavis and Butt-Head became iconic symbols of American teenage culture in the 1990s.
The show was credited with bringing a new level of maturity to the MTV network. Beavis and Butt-Head were ranked as number 40 on TV Guide’s 50 Greatest TV Cartoons of All Time list and are the stars of their own feature film, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America. And now they have another upcoming film.
Beavis & Butt-Head Trailer
Beavis & Butt-Head Trailer Breakdown
The trailer begins abruptly and oddly with Beavis and Butt-Head traveling to space. It is never revealed who had the bright notion. Perhaps NASA is attempting to investigate how zero gravity impacts idiocy. After that, the trailer then takes an even more surprising turn, with Beavis and Butt-Head being dragged into a time vortex and landing in the year 2022. Beavis’ alter-ego Cornholio riles up prison prisoners, and even a run-in with supposedly sentient cosmic doppelgangers all ensue. For a brief moment near the end of the trailer, we see Beavis and Butt-Head in their forties.
Can The Series Relaunch Again?
MTV killed the revival of this series back in 2011 when they ordered an initial 22-episode run. Since then, fans have just opted for reruns and Mike Judge’s eventual teases and screen appearances voicing the iconic characters. But can this feature film mark something like a revival in the near future for Beavis & Butt-head? Well, it’s all up for grabs, if you factor in the nostalgia element of millennial slacker MTV golden age, sure, that can have some traction. But just how much to bring such a niche cartoon-like Beavis & Butt-head to fruition? We’ll just have to see. I wonder if they’re also thinking about bringing back Daria?
Where To Watch Beavis & Butt-Head Do The Universe?
If you want to watch this feature film starring MTV’s staple slackers, then the only place you need to go is to Paramount+ as it will be an exclusive premiere on that platform. Furthermore, the second feature film starring the slacker duo marks yet another bet that Paramount+ makes on feature films.
Like this one, based on the successful adult series, Paramount betted successfully on South Park, which already saw the premiere of the COVID feature films and is embarking upon a long-running 14 film contract with its creators. With this, we are concluding our coverage of MTV’s Liquid Animation staple icons from the 1990s here at Otakukart. Thanks for your attention, and see you soon!
