Beauty of Resilience Episode 23 Synopsis
Wei Zhi, a young woman, has always been a victim of bad luck since she was young. Although she is often seen to be quiet and rather simple in personality, she is definitely not a coward. To check for the presence of the immortality root bones, she bravely went to the coming-of-age ceremony. Though the breeding of immortals is a prevalent practice in the Wei Kingdom of the Mortal World, most common men still cannot attain immortality.
The group of 36 people in which Wei Zhi participated displayed a Phoenix figure in the mirror during the ceremony. This act impressed everyone around them, and they were immediately sent to the Egret Academy to continue their studies. Among them, the distinguished third lady of the Wei Family rose to fame as a contender for the title of Phoenix bloodline holder.
In the academy, Yan Yue, who was considered to be one of the harsh teachers among the rest, was strict with the students, especially those born with a silver spoon. The reason behind this was that Yan Yue was, in reality, the Monarch of the Heavens. He has descended to the Mortal World to fulfill a personal mission, which could only be completed by his interaction with the humans.
He was in search of the person who bore the Phoenix lineage since, according to legend, slaughtering the Phoenix would pose to be Yan Yue’s greatest challenge. However, Yan Yue was not allowed to have any relationship with humans or involve in their affairs during his time on Earth. This condition posed to be a great problem for Yan Yue.
During his time as a teacher at the academy, he started developing feelings for Wei Zhi, who happened to be one of his students. As the two of them meet in such bad luck, will their love and affection for each other overcome the hurdles that come their way?
