If there’s one author we’ll never tire of, it’s certainly Emily Henry. She has done something that no author has ever done for us- writing relatable characters or, perhaps, writing characters who are based on us. From Poppy and Nora to January and Gus, there’s not a single character we didn’t love. January and Gus, with their beachy romance and their love for words, made us feel happy and content with who we are.
Nora is a woman we’ll forever relate to because we are young girls who need characters like her to show our feelings. And Poppy and Alex, the “best friends to lovers” we all wish would turn true in real lives for us, but alas, it won’t. Poppy and Alex are so special to us. From their vacations to their strange friendship, from their weird beginning to the happy ending, we could go on and on about what those two mean to us.
But maybe another time. If you still haven’t read any book written by Emily Henry, then this isn’t your sign but a warning, a threat if you will, from us to you, that you need to read these books immediately.
Sometimes, books aren’t about the tropes, the writing styles, or the plot; rather, they are about what they make us feel. And we’d be lying if we said that these books did not make us scream, cry and throw up because they are so good. Just trust us and read her books.
