Apex Legends Ascended Hunt Event: Start Date, Wild Cards, Gibraltar Prestige Skin and Rewards

Apex Legends is preparing for its next major limited-time event, with EA and Respawn Entertainment announcing the Ascended Hunt Event for August 18. Running through September 8, the event introduces new ways to grow stronger during matches, alongside a collection of themed cosmetics and a new Prestige Skin for Gibraltar.

The event centers on ancient power reaching the Outlands and granting Legends supernatural abilities. Players competing in the Wildcard mode can collect EVO to evolve special Wild Cards, allowing them to improve combat, mobility, survivability and other capabilities as matches progress.

Beyond gameplay changes, the Apex Legends Ascended Hunt Event will feature 24 new cosmetics, including Legendary skins for several Legends and themed weapon skins. Players can also earn Marks throughout the event to unlock additional rewards, while Gibraltar’s “Apex Bruddah” Prestige Skin serves as the headline prize.

Apex Legends Ascended Hunt Event Adds Evolving Wild Cards

The Ascended Hunt event focuses on the Wildcard mode, where players can select an EVO Enhancing Wild Card after dropping into a match. Collecting EVO allows these cards to level up, making players increasingly powerful as they survive deeper into the game.

The available Wild Cards include options that tighten hipfire spread, increase critical-hit chances, improve shield regeneration and increase lifesteal. Players can also choose mobility-focused upgrades that improve Mantle Boosts or allow them to slide farther and faster.

Additional Wild Card slots become available as a match progresses. This gives surviving players more opportunities to stack upgrades and build a powerful combination before reaching the final circle.

The event also changes the Wildcard map rotation, moving the action to Kings Canyon, E-District and Broken Moon.

Gibraltar’s Apex Bruddah Prestige Skin Leads the Rewards

The centerpiece of the Ascended Hunt Collection is Gibraltar’s new Apex Bruddah Prestige Skin. The cosmetic gives the Legend golden armor with an elemental fire-inspired design and includes additional features designed to emphasize his transformation into a powerful demigod.

The Prestige Skin comes with a custom Finisher and a unique Dive Trail, giving Gibraltar new visual effects beyond the standard character appearance.

The wider Ascended Hunt Collection contains 24 new cosmetics. Legendary skins are being added for Valkyrie, Conduit, Wraith, Alter, Lifeline and Horizon, while weapon cosmetics cover the R-301, Havoc, Alternator, L-STAR, Bocek and 30-30 Repeater.

Players can obtain the event skins through the Store tab or as potential drops from Event Packs during the event period.

The Ascended Hunt Reward Shop provides another progression path. Players can earn Marks during the event and exchange them for rewards including an Epic Mad Maggie Skin, a new Banner Frame and Event Packs.

The Apex Legends Ascended Hunt Event begins August 18, 2026, and ends September 8, 2026. Apex Legends: Marked is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC through the EA App, Epic Games Store and Steam.
