Starring Huang Li Feng and Wu Ping Chem, Anti-Reset is a romance drama that’s all about love between a human and a robot. Chu Yi Ping, a reserved individual, finds his world turned upside down when he injures his hand in a school accident.
His uncle provides him with Ever 9, an experimental intelligent robot designed to assist him during his recovery. Initially hesitant, Yi Ping gradually warms up to Ever 9 as he discovers the robot’s ability to fill the void in his life and become his friend.
As Yi Ping and Ever 9 spend time together, they form a unique bond, with Yi Ping even requesting the robot’s assistance in fulfilling a wish list they create together. However, their journey is cut short when Ever 9 suddenly malfunctions and requires repairs.
Despite the setback, Yi Ping eagerly awaits Ever 9’s return, unaware of the changes that await him. Upon Ever 9’s repair and subsequent reset, Yi Ping is shocked by the robot’s altered behavior, as it now appears disinterested in and even requests to be returned.
Confused and hurt, Yi Ping struggles to understand what has changed between them. He is unaware that Ever 9’s programming has been reset, erasing the bond they had formed. As Yi Ping deals with the loss of the connection he shared with Ever 9, he questions whether their promise of everlasting companionship still holds true.
