All That Glitters: Britain’s Next Jewellery Star Season 2 Episode 2 will air on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 21:00 on BBC Two and BBC iplayer. The plot of the episode follows jewellers, competing in All That Glitters to make real clients’ dreams come true, transforming emotion into objects of beauty that last forever. The challenges will investigate the vastly different styles and aesthetics found in various types of jewellery, and some will be inspired by the world’s most famous and coveted pieces.

Meet the All That Glitters judges and host
Dinny Hall
Dinny Hall has been creating jewellery for nearly 40 years. She rose to prominence as a goldsmith after Liberty, London purchased her entire Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design graduation collection. Her work was an instant success due to its experimental pieces made from natural materials such as leather and wood. She has six stores in London and a concession at Liberty, and she has designed pieces for celebrities including Lily Allen, David Bowie, Sienna Miller, and Liz Hurley.
Shaun Leane
Shaun Leane is another incredible British jeweller best known for designing sculptural pieces for Alexander McQueen. With his brand, he’s much more than that. Shaun Leane has four times been named UK Jewellery Designer of the Year. His signature style combines traditional goldsmith skills with the world of fashion to create truly one-of-a-kind pieces. His work has been seen on the runway, praised by Vogue’s editor, and even worn by the royal family.
Katherine Ryan
Katherine Ryan is a Canadian stand-up comedian, writer, and All That Glitters host. You’ve most likely seen her on Mock the Week, Would I Lie To You, and 8 Out of 10 Cats. Katherine’s stand-up is also available on Netflix, and one of her specials is titled Katherine Ryan: Glitter Room! Katherine brings a fun, feminist energy to the show that we adore.

All That Glitters: Britain’s Next Jewellery Star Season 2 Episode 2 Contestants
The competition will feature seven of the best and brightest (literally) jewellery designers in the UK. Each week, the jewellers will compete to create two stunning pieces set by the judges. Every week, the judges will challenge them to create their own popular jewellery pieces in the Bestseller Challenge. Then there’ll be the Bespoke Challenge, in which contestants must create a one-of-a-kind piece for a special client. It’s going to be a fight to find Britain’s best jeweller, so here are the All That Glitters 2022 contestants!
1. David
Sixty-year-old David is a jeweller and stained-glass window maker who lives in Chichester, West Sussex, with his husband. His daring sense of style stems from his unique personality and perspective as a colorblind individual.
2. Emma
Emma is a 45-year-old jewellery school owner and teacher from Leeds. She leads a hectic life as a’mumpreneur’ with three children and three stepchildren. Her ideas are inspired by stories she has heard or by the metal itself.
3.Jack
Jack, a jeweller from Bristol, is 35 years old. His father is a goldsmith, and Jack began making his own jewellery at the age of nine. He has spent the last seven years travelling the world and is a big fan of the outdoors as well as extreme sports like surfing and snowboarding, which all inspire his work.
4. Nyanda
Nyanda, an East London goldsmith, is 49 years old and began her creative journey through sculpting and painting. She has worked hard for the past 20 years on her craft and is inspired by the organic forms found in nature; she sees the body as the plinth and jewellery as art.
5. Piers
Piers, 25, is a jeweller who works in an antique jewellery store and lives in Kent with his wife. He is frequently seen wearing Victorian-style coin rings and chains with a backstory.
6. Steve
Jeweller Steve, 29, lives in London with his family and three cats that he adores. Though he goes by Steve, his birth name is Mustafa, and he is a Syrian native who lived there until the age of 20.
7. Tianne
Tianne, a 25-year-old stone setter from East London, now lives in Berkshire. Her father, a diamond mounter, was a big influence on her, and when she was 18, she decided she wanted to be a jeweller like him. This was all about All That Glitters: Britain’s Next Jewellery Star Season 2 Episode 2.
