Well, who doesn’t love to follow the lives of a judge or prosecutors in and outside of the realm that is the courthouse? A series made on a similar concept titled All Rise, by Greg Spottiswood, was released on September 23, 2019.
The series focuses on the personal lives of public defenders, judges, and prosecutors in the courthouse of Los Angeles. The plot follows Judge Lola Carmichael, a newly appointed judge and an impressive former deputy district attorney who has no intention of sitting back on the bench in her newly appointed role.
She likes to push boundaries and challenge the judge’s expectations. CBS released the series first season before it got picked up by OWN for the third season. Viewers are hooked on the series as they follow along the journey of the prosecutors and judges learning new legal terms and the punishment involving them.
On viewers’ demand, the series returned with a third season after running for two successful seasons. The legal drama stars Simone Missick playing the role of Lola Carmichael, a former prosecutor and the newly appointed judge, and Wilson Bethel playing the role of Mark Callan, a district deputy attorney and best friend of Lola.
Jessica Camacho plays the role of Emily Lopez, County Public Defender; J. Alex Brinson plays the role of Luke Watkins, a deputy sheriff; Ruthie Ann Miles plays the role of Sherri Kansky; Lindsay Mendez plays the role of Sara Castillo.
Emily Lopes’ friend, Marg Helgenberg, plays the role of Lisa Benner, Lindsay Gort plays the role of Amy Quinn, and Reggie Lee plays the role of Thomas Choi. Produced by Greg Spottiswood and Sunil Nayar, the series has 48 episodes in total with a run time of 43 minutes.
The drama has captivated the viewers’ attention as a lot of them feel the series has growth potential. The legal drama is based on Courtroom 302 by Steve Bogira.

All Rise Season 3 Episode 10 – Recap
The previous episode titled “Fire & Rain” witnessed the couple Lola and Robin trying to work through their issues. The episode witnessed Mark and Teddy taking on Brandon Page in the Grab trial with Maddy, Emily’s client.
The episode starts with Lola having sex with Robin and making it seem like everything is great. Meanwhile, Luke and Emily share a cute moment together at the Hall Of Justice before Luke informs Emily that her ex-boss would like to have a word with her at the Public Defender’s Office.
Amy is surprised after Collier, her ex-husband, shows up at Audubon & Quinn’s office, and Amy’s to-be-husband sets up the meeting with Collier. Meanwhile, Amy is questioned by Collier about the reason behind her hiding the fact that they signed the divorce paper a long time ago.
Vanessa is ecstatic after she discovers that on her second attempt, she has passed the bar exam. Teddy and Mark are getting prepared for their first day in court on the Brandon Page case. The Smarmy U.S. Attorney tries to appeal directly to Maddie, Emily’s client, by offering her a protective custody order. Emily, along with Mark, convinces Maddie that she is fine before the U.S. Attorney swans out.
Meanwhile, Vanessa notices Brandon’s friend Leo Sykes in an elevator at the HOJ, looking suspicious. Meanwhile, in courtroom 802, Andre Armstrong, Lola’s ex, is representing Page and blindsides everyone at the court by filing a motion to suppress all the evidence that came out from the search warrant.
Mark pleads for more time after Lola grants the motion to exclude. Meanwhile, Ness encounters Leoin in the stairwell before getting stabbed, leaving a trail of blood behind while Lola drags Andre into her chambers. Mark gets chewed out by Bravo for the error he made with the search warrant.

Bravo threatens Mark to hand over the case to the team of U.S. attorneys before Mark finally naps back stating he doesn’t get the easy way out. The episode follows several steps in Brandon Page’s case.
The episode ends with an exhausted Mark returning to the office before All Rise finally reveals everything that happened with Teddy. Meanwhile, Sarah holds a wounded Teddy on the floor of an empty bullpen before an appalled Mark calls for help.
As Andre tries to comfort Lola, the two share a heated kiss before Robin walks in on them. The episode finally ends with Robin walking in on a heated kiss shared between Lola and Robin.
All Rise Season 3- Episode 11 – Preview
The upcoming episode titled “Unwanted Guests” will pick up from the point where Robin caught Lola kissing her ex. Meanwhile, Ness will be in the ICU while Amy and Mark will take a step forward in the case. Emily would return to the Public Defender’s office, and Sherri would get an unexpected visit. The upcoming episode will be filled with twists and turns.
